We had such a great stay and we're so lucky to be the first guests in this little home away from home. It's perfect for work travel or for visiting family during the holidays like we did! Me and my boyfriend stayed with our fur baby and we loved having a place to ourselves to relax and recenter after visiting with family. Jill was an awesome host and this property had everything we needed for our stay! Everything is brand new and so clean with great vibes. Will definitely stay again next time we visit town!

This was such a nice place to stay. Very quiet and not far from downtown. I will definitely be staying here again when I come down. Very responsive when asking questions about different things. You won’t be disappointed when you stay here.

We are 3 sisters who wanted to invest our time and talents into something fun and exciting. Gina is a retired K teacher. Jill is an accountant. Regan is a local real estate agent in Douglas. Between all of us, we have 11 children, 3 wonderful husbands, 6 grandchildren, and one amazing mother. 
We strive to give our guests excellent hospitality, a clean home, and a great nightly rate.

Why they chose this property

The Mockingbird is on a nice street in a nice area of town, very nearby our family home. It is near Downtown & CRMC Hospital and convenient to Walmart Distribution Center.

What makes this property unique

This property was fully renovated in early 2025. This home was converted into 2 small apartments, with The Mockingbird (this listing) being in the secondary apartment. It has a private entrance with attached carport parking off a side street.
The front apartment has a permanent tenant, our mom.
The two apartments are very private, with separation of parking and entry.
