About the host
Your host
I grew up in Manhattan Beach on the Los Angeles coast, and my husband Austin is from the Caribbean, in Belize. We’ve been married for two decades, after meeting over 20 years ago on Ambergris Caye, a Belizean island where he was my dive master — and yes, the story is exactly as good as it sounds.
Together we built a life in food and design. We’re both chefs and run a creative culinary business that’s taken us around the world for shoots, events, and clients we’ve cooked for for more than 15 years. It’s work that demands attention to detail, calm, intuition, and an eye for how people feel in a space — something we can’t help but bring into the loft. A small brag: the loft has been featured in the Venice Art Walk for architecture and design, with interiors by Rudin Donner Design.
Over the past two years, we’ve been renting our Venice loft privately while stepping into a new chapter — living more remotely, working from anywhere, and slowly traveling the world. It’s been a beautiful shift, and now we’re bringing our space onto this platform so guests can enjoy it the way our private renters have. We may be new here, but not to hosting, and we love welcoming guests who enjoy coastal ease and the pulse of Venice just steps away.

Why they chose this property
The loft sits one block off Abbot Kinney, surrounded by some of the country’s most loved spots — Gjelina, Gjusta, The Butcher’s Daughter, RVR, and a long list of neighborhood restaurants that make Venice a destination. Coffee is its own culture here, with Blue Bottle, Intelligentsia, and smaller cafés tucked into side streets if you wander a little.
Wellness is built in, with Erewhon, Whole Foods, and Kreation Juicery nearby. Shopping along Abbot Kinney ranges from independent boutiques to designer shops, while the Venice Canals, hidden walk streets, and the beach are all close — ideal for a morning loop or an evening stroll. The location also makes exploring Los Angeles easy, whether you’re heading to Malibu, Santa Monica, or Beverly Hills.
The loft is best suited for one or two guests. Quiet hours are respected in this residential building.
