This place was wonderful for us ...only complaint is with Ol' Mother Nature... we would have loved to spend more time outside enjoying the gorgeous lake .
Beautiful house, great views of the lake, comfortable beds, clean! Comfortably slept 9 of us, we had a great weekend together. Our sons caught some nice fish off the dock- sheepshead, small mouth bass, white bass. Only 40 min to Lambeau for the game we attended. There was a wet spot in the basement and it smelled a little musty. Watch the coffee pot as it does not turn off on its own.
We were here to attend a wedding at High Cliffs Park and stayed for 4 nights. The house is located in a terrific location on Lake Winnebago- beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The house easily accommodated our party of 6, between the upstairs bedrooms, pullout couches and downstairs bunk beds. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of windows and natural sunlight. Comfortable living rooms; tables and chairs outside for outdoor dining. The house was clean and well-stocked with linens, dishes, and paper products. Definitely a positive experience and a wonderful getaway home!
Absolutely beautiful home with a great view!Couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Hosts had excellent communication.Highly recommend, already planning for the first week in December. Thanks again for everything!
There is so much to love about this house, the yard, and the lake access. We relaxed, fished, took the paddleboards out, played corn hole (brought our own set), visited the nearby High Cliff State Park many times (including running on the trails that become x-country ski trails in the winter -- loved them!), and had a campfire. Unfortunately, swimming is not an option late in the summer when the blue-green algae is prevalent. We were a family of 10, with 2 little kids, so we were a bit cramped with the bed / sofa bed arrangements. I would recommend 4-5 adults and 2 kids tops (they will love the bunk bed!), if everyone wants to be able to close a door on their sleeping space and sit around 1 dinner table together. But overall, the amazing lake views (the SUNSETS omg), comforting touches like musical instruments and record players, and well-stocked kitchen made this a welcoming place.
House was clean and roomy for a big group. Expect a lot of stairs inside and outside. Bring water shoes there is no sand, rocks and lots of them, walking in water is difficult. Owners were very responsive, with the very few needs we had. Bring fishing rods and worms, caught a couple walleye, but had a blast catching Sheephead.
