About this property

2B/1B sleeps 8 on waterfront property - 270' pier, pool, hot tubs & amenities

This beautiful cottage is the perfect place to bring your family or a fun group of friends.

We are on Galveston Bay and our unique property offers 150' of waterfront with a 270' fishing pier, pool, spa, numerous Palapas along the waterfront and lots of common areas for sitting and grilling and enjoying our outstanding views of Kemah and the Galveston Bay.

We have one Suite that is Waterfront and that is The Bay Room. Our other Cottages are set off of the water about 150" but have full access to all of our amenities and lots of waterfront sitting areas.

This cottage will sleep up to 8 people comfortably. Two of the bedrooms are private with an additional queen bed over twin trundle bed in the living room. The kitchen and bathroom are very large and fully stocked with all the amenities and cooking utensils/appliances you could ever need. All Linens and towels are provided as well as basic cooking spices, coffee, sugar, creamers, etc. This cottage has a private deck and grilling area but all common areas are available for use. Grills are also provided at no additional charge. Special items can be added upon request.

We are 20 miles south of Houston on I-45 South, 4 miles from the famous Kemah Boardwalk, 10 minutes from NASA/Johnson Space Center, 15 minutes from Baybrook Mall, 10 miles from the Texas City Outlet Mall and only 20 minutes from Galveston. There are many terrific restaurants near us and some you can get to on the golf carts we provide for your use while staying with us.

The saltwater Gypsy was perfect for our getaway. Very quiet and fishing off the pier was awesome. We even used DoorDash to get food delivered. Definitely will be staying here again. The hosts were fantastic at recommending restaurants and gave us a heads up for which ones were social distancing and not.

The cottage was exactly as described. It was cozy and clean. Neighborhood was quiet. It was pet friendly and even had a little fenced in area for the dog. I would stay there again. It is less than 2 miles from our sons home in League City

Heaven in Bacliff

Think wonderful and then add some more. We honestly did not want to leave and have already planning on heading back to the cottages next time we visit our family in Houston. We hit NASA and some museums, but the best part of the entire week was just relaxing on the dock!

Charming cottage

The owners are the real gem behind the charming cottage. They were so sweet to us and made our visit extra kid-friendly with s'mores at the fire pit outside and by lending out fishing and crabbing equipment to keep them entertained. We spent a fun day at Kemah and the next at Nasa. It is a great, spot on the bay close to great attractions. The Topwater restaurant they recommended was fabulous. We had a really fun long weekend getaway.

A wonderful Anniversary!

Our little house was decorated so cute but that was only part of the deal. It was very clean and the host was so sweet! We are enjoyed the whole property. Very serene and relaxing. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the ocean. We were close to many restaurants and entertainment. We will be back for sure! I highly recommend!!!

Cought Bull Reds and slot Reds. Sheepshead and BlackDrum. Place to clean fish . Lots of light. Could even fish in the rain nice roof overhang. Eveyone was supper nice. The house was big enough for 2 of us and all our gear. It sleeps more we just take so much gear. All and All Great place!!!

Galveston Trip

My family made a short weekend trip to visit the beach and Pleasure Pier in Galveston. We stayed in the Saltwater Gypsy Cottage and it was wonderful. It was a great size for our family of 8. Everything was well maintained. My kids loved the fishing pier and having poles available to borrow was very convenient. Pat and her family are very friendly and willing to offer whatever information and recommendations you might need. The drive to Galveston only took about 20 minutes and Kemah is nearby as well. Both H-E-B and Walmart are close by. We would absolutely stay here if we make a repeat trip to the area.

My Hubby and I love the water and love getting to raise our family in this beautiful community. We own and manage the property with my parents and are very active in our church and our children's schools. Our favorite thing is to meet wonderful, friendly, water loving people and share our little piece of paradise with them. We are gracious, thoughtful hosts and go out of our way to make you feel at home and help with anything you might need to have a wonderful vacation. Much of our business is from repeat guests and you can tell by our reviews that they become family and this becomes their home away from home.

Why they chose this property

Our property is unique in that every cottage is private and decorated differently than the others. This makes each experience you have with us unique as well. Our amenities are extensive and unlike most rentals we welcome children and pets. The pier is a wonderful place to not only fish but relax and sunbathe or just have a cocktail at the end of the day. The pool and spa are nestled in the back of the property for more privacy. There are also golf carts available for your use while staying. We offer everything you will need so you can travel light, and the rooms are stocked how we would like them if we were visiting. Grills, utensils and outdoor furniture is updated and abundant. Our priority is you and your family. You will have a wonderful time with us!
