It has a private deck overlooking a 60-ft. dock and the lake! It is close to Bandera, Boerne, Kerrville, San Antonio, Sea World and Fiesta Texas. It is great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, relaxing - and nearby golfing, hiking, biking and touring!

Detailed Description:
The Red Dock Retreat is located on beautiful Medina Lake near Bandera, TX. It has a 60-ft. dock and is located only 15 minutes from Bandera, TX (the "Cowboy Capital of the World"), 10 minutes from great golfing, and close to Boerne, Kerrville, San Antonio, SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas. It is great for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating and just kicking back, relaxing and enjoying the view! It's perfect for couples, families, and solo vacationers.

This is an ideal getaway spot! Enjoy your private deck while looking out over the huge red dock and lake. There is also a floating dock for easy access to the water. You can often spot deer and wild turkey on the shoreline across the lake. The free public boat launch is only a block away. The 5,369-acre Hill Country State Natural Area is about 15 minutes away for hiking and cycling.

Take a drive through the scenic Texas Hill Country in any number of directions to explore the area. The lake house has 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen (stove with oven and range top, microwave/toaster, refrigerator, dish washer, coffee maker, all utensils, dishes and glassware, pots and pans), a bathroom w/ shower, washer & dryer. There are two queen beds, a couch with a full sized hide-bed, and 2 single role away beds. Other amenities include air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, a 55’ 4K ROKU flat screen TV, free WIFI, DVD player, a blue tooth portable speaker, a gas grill, a charcoal grill, a round stone fire pit and access to kayaks, a paddle boat and fishing gear.

Good cell phone service since we have a cell signal amplifier at the house. All bed linens and bath towels and soap supplies are provided.

Welcoming cabin getaway

In over 15 yrs, this is the first VRBO I've stayed in where I felt like I was staying as a personal guest and not a renter. The whole interior was clean and bright. The kitchen was immaculate and had EVERYTHING you might need for a weekend from foil, ziplocs and spices to both a drip and Keurig coffee maker. We were welcomed with s'more kits, starter snacks, and more. 2 twin foldaway beds were great so all the kids could have their own bed. It was so peaceful sitting on the deck and watching the deer and turkeys on the other side. The lake was dry (4/24) but we hiked the lake bed for miles and saw tons of butterflies, birds and flowers (no snakes!). There' s a great hard packed trail through the lake bottom that makes me wonder if it would be good for mt. biking. Bandera is a great town abt 20 min away. Highly recommend pecan chicken at TJs at the Forge and the Banderra Brewery chocolate stout. Thanks for a great weekend!

Quiet and scenic area

We had a great stay! The area is so quiet and peaceful. We watched the deer and turkey while sitting on the dock. The little store just a short walk from the cabin was a nice bonus. The cabin had everything we needed for our trip. It was well stocked with pantry items. All of the outside sitting areas and fire pit was great.The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and blankets. We would definitely stay here again.
