We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. It was very easy to communicate with our host and the property was just fabulous... easy check in, super clean, convenient, safe, "chic" decor, just perfect. The host was able to point us in the direction of some of the local favorite places to eat which we found very helpful. A big thumbs up and would highly recommend!

clean and comfortable
lovely home; very clean and well appointed; clearly a neighborhood in transition -- really nothing interesting or cool within walking distance, but looks like that is changing quickly

We hate you didn't find anything within walking distance you could enjoy! It really depends on what you're looking for and you are correct, the area is changing daily! For future guests---There are two great, low-key bars within very short walking distance (The Fox and Walden), a great Italian take-out place (Nicolettos) and a great dive bar called Mickeys Tavern. The most popular record store in Nashville (Grimey's) will also be opening right across the street this fall and will have concerts frequently. Also, a 5 minute drive away is a great restaurant - Fort Louise, Mitchell Deli, Dose Coffee+Dram bar, and a few other restaurants.
My husband and I traveled to Nashville with our two daughters, 14 and 9. We all loved the property. It's tastefully decorated and extremely clean. There is tons of natural light, and the layout was great for our family. My husband and I were on the third floor in the primary suite with a large walk-in shower and roof top patio, which we all enjoyed. My daughters stayed in the second bedroom, which is on the ground floor and also has it's own full bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need if you'll be cooking at all during your stay. The property is in an an older area where many buildings are being newly renovated. You can easily walk to a couple different coffee shops, and the best record store in town is right across the street. It's a quick drive to get downtown.
We can't say enough great things about Madison, the owner. We had a few questions for her during our stay and she replied immediately. She is very accommodating and easy to work with.
We highly recommend this property.

Nice . . but not what we expected. Left wishing we stayed elsewhere
The unit itself was quite lovely. Super clean and inviting however we continued to be disappointed with aspects that may seem trivial but generally make our stay most enjoyable. At no point in the description of the property did it indicate that the owners lived in the unit when they weren't renting it. They locked the closet in the main bedroom and there was no place to hang our clothes. We had to hang them on doorknobs and such where clothes fell down and became wrinkled. We suspect they had a toaster but it was likely locked in one of the cabinets. Would have liked to enjoy a toasted bagel in the a.m. The notes indicate they had "basic cable" . . we wouldnt call it "basic" , it was lacking . . (7) channels in total . . . the guys were totally bummed they couldnt watch any version of sports. Yes, towels were provided as indicated but we were there for (4) days and we each had only (2) bath towels and no wash cloths. And no washer or dryer to wash the few we had.
The area . . well, we see that an earlier review, which was truly the most honest regarding the neighborhood, was taken down off the site. (only positive reviews remain . . hmmmmmm). the area is up and coming - no doubt however when I go on holiday, I dont expect to experience the harsh reality of homeless people within a block and a half from where we're staying. yes, a sad reality that homelessness exists but . .
And not the owners fault but the constant beeping of construction equipment in the parking lot was wearing. They were painting the new buildings and this went until we left on Saturday morning. This, coupled with the barking dogs three doors down, made this an unpleasant environment.
We did enjoy the outdoor patio.
We believe there should have been much more transparency in the description of the rental. We're frequent travelers and while this unit was super clean and well appointed, we would not recommend it .

Sue-
First and foremost, I am so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. We would NEVER intentionally bend the truth on what our home has to offer. I'm going to address your complaints in the same order as your review:
1. When you book the property...during "step 2", you check a box saying you have read and agree to all of the rental policies and terms. Attached to this is the rental agreement. On the first page of the rental agreement, one of the first things mentioned is that we do live in the home and that you will not have access to certain areas (all of the areas you mentioned are listed in this section).
2. We apologize you didn't have anywhere in your room to hang your clothes...in the downstairs bedroom there is ample space and hangers. While we realize this isn't the most convenient spot, we just cannot leave our personal closet open to people we don't know.
3. We don't have a toaster and use the oven if we really want something toasted.
4. We have TV's with antennas. We watch sports, but do not have ESPN or other channels. We have basic news channels and a few other random channels.
5. We are so sorry you didn't have enough towels...had you notified us that you had that problem we would have promptly delivered more towels to you.
6. The washer and dryer is in our master closet, which we keep locked....no where in the listing did we indicate we had a washer and dryer.
7. East Nashville is an up and coming area with a lot to offer. There are so many cool spots in the neighborhood...we even just had a local record store that Rolling Stone magazine called one of the top record stores in America move in right across the street. If any of you potential guests have any question about the area, feel free to ask me or do some research online.
8. I would NEVER EVER EVER take down a negative review. Trust me because I would love to remove this one if I could. If the previous review is gone it is because the website removed it, not me.
9. This home is in the city of Nashville. Homeless people exist in cities. You can rent places for thousands a night and still have homeless people nearby.
10. Sorry about the barking dogs...we can't stand them either, but that guy's house is for sale and should be gone soon.
Again, we are so sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, Sue. We really wish you would have reached out to us with your issues. Future guests: make sure and read the rental agreement.
Wonderful property…can’t say enough about it. Location was very convenient to downtown, restaurants, etc. This home was extremely clean and comfortable. Owner was easy to communicate with. Home had all amenities as listed in description. Will definitely be staying here again.
I would absolutely recommend this property. We were debating between place downtown or East Nashville. I'm so glad we chose East Nashville. We were able to get the best of both worlds. The place is decorated so well that you definitely get the Nashville vibe without the craziness of staying downtown. Every little detail and knickknack is well chosen. I loved the layout of one bedroom on the 1st floor, 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor and the common living area in between. The rooftop deck and firepit were a great way to relax at night. Parking was easy and it was a quick drive to anywhere we wanted to go. The natural lighting in the upstairs bedroom is great, but I would recommend packing a sleep mask for those who like to sleep in because it gets very bright in the morning. The place had everything we needed and more! There are multiple hair dryers even though the description seems to mention only one (so no need to pack your own). I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Four of us girls stayed here to celebrate a birthday. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed - lots of towels, silverware, toilet paper, etc. Perfect location too - seemed to be a 8-10 minute drive from everywhere we wanted to go, which made Ubers quite cheap too ($7-$10). It was quiet at night which was nice! There are also a lot of cute places to eat/drink nearby in East Nashville. Food store, liquor store, dollar general close by if needed. We stayed during a very hot weekend in July, and the air conditioning was great in the home! No humidity at all. The host Madison was very responsive. Would stay here again :)
We stayed for 4 nights and had a blast. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again. Very calm and quiet neighborhood, yet close to all the action with a short drive. Perfect location for a group looking to enjoy peace and quiet after going out during the day.
From the time we booked to the time we left the beautiful property this was a seamless experience. There were 3 of us middle-aged ladies celebrating a 50th anniversary (left the husbands at home though). The accommodations were exactly what was stated in the description but the best part of the property was the 'roof top patio'. We had our coffee out there in the mornings & our cocktails before retiring. It was great! Madison was available whenever we had questions and even when we needed propane for the gas fit pit on the patio it was there the next day. I can't say enough about how attentive she was. There a lot of steps to climb but with living area's on 3 floors you expect that & it even gave us a little bit of a workout daily. Ubers were easy to get & were only about a 10-15 minute drive to Broadway or the Opry Hotel area.....reasonable pricing also. It is a very quite neighborhood and we always felt safe with our surroundings. We thoroughly enjoy our trip & our rental experience. I (we) would definitely stay here again. 5 Stars are not enough but well deserved.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this townhouse. Communication with the owner was easy, the place was just as depicted in the photos, clean, and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved every single moment at this property, everything was well thought out and provided accordingly by the host. It was a very unique stay, and amazing experience even as our first rental.
We’ve stayed at this property several times and it’s always clean and quiet. It is also in a very nice part of town. Madison is very accommodating and easy to communicate with.
We came to Nashville for a long weekend visit with my daughter. The home was perfect and we all had a wonderful time. It is very spacious and the rooms being on separate levels worked out well. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. It exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend
This is our second time staying at this property, and will be back again. It's in a perfect location for us and the condo itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
My husband and I stayed at Madison's condo while visiting our son and his family in East Nashville. The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Madison was very responsive both before the trip and while we were there. We were lucky enough that it was walking distance to my son's home. We had a great trip and I would highly recommend this location, in fact, we are staying there again in April.
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property in a month. Everything was great both times. Cleanliness is very important to me, especially right now. It was super clean, and stocked with hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes.
This property is awesome! Located in a great, quiet part of town but close to everything. During the pandemic, my main concern was cleanliness. Madison assured me the townhouse would be deep cleaned and sanitized and it was! We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again!
