The Architects Home is spacious three bedrooms house with two bathrooms and two large terraces located in quite and peaceful resident part of Dubrovnik. All the main attractions that the city of Dubrovnik has to offer are in the 15-20 min walking distance, including the Old Town of Dubrovnik, beaches of Lapad bay and Gruz harbour. When you get tired of walking around town, you can get back and enjoy this beautiful home and get some rest, or have a glass of wine on a terrace with a seaview. House gets a lot of sunlight trough out a day.House gets a lot of sunlight trough out a day. On the ground floor there is open space kitchen and living room, as well as a two terraces. The front terrace with a seaview is perfect for enjoying cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening while watching Dubrovnik sunset. The back terrace, which is in the shade for the most of the day, is the perfect for relaxing trough out a day. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. On the attic there is a third room with a bathroom. Whole house is airconditioned, and there are also ventilators for better circulation of fresh air.

Home from home

Stayed here for a week with my family. Plenty of room for 6 adults to relax both indoors and out. Everything went smoothly from the airport pick up to our departure. The apartment is modern, bright and very well equipped. Comfortable beds and good showers. Two terraces one in the sun and a second shaded one where we are in the evenings. Our lovely host answered all queries promptly and helped with local information. Location is good, we could walk to the harbour area, the beaches on the west of the peninsula and to the old city, all in 30 minutes or less. The Uber taxi service is well worth using and very cheap. As mentioned in previous reviews there are many steps to the apartment which are challenging in the heat, however, they do get easier as the week goes in! We highly recommend this place.

Schöner Ort des Entspannens nach einem Tag in der Hitze

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Söhnen 5 Nächte in diesem Haus. Es ist angenehm stilvoll eingerichtet. Platz gibt es jede Menge. Die Bäder sind modern. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und es gab sogar Mückenvertreiber, die wir allerdings gar nicht brauchten. Herrlich ist die Terrasse bergseits, die ab dem frühen Nachmittag im Schatten liegt und ein schöneres Flair gibt als ein Balkon, den das Haus übrigens auch hat. Der Bäcker ist gleich am Fuße der Treppe, die von der Hauptstraße zum Haus führt. Supermärkte etwa 10 Minuten entfernt. Wer Treppen hasst, hat es in Dubrovnik sehr schwer, egal ob auf der Stadtmauer, der Altstadt oder in den Wohngebieten. Durch die Treppen ist man andererseits von der Straße weg. Eine Buslinie bringt einen direkt vor das Stadttor. Man kann auch in 20-30 Minuten mit schönem Ausblick auf das Meer hinlaufen, aber in unserer Dubrovnik-Card waren 10 Fahrten dabei, so dass wir bei der Hitze gerne auf den Bus zurückgriffen. Das Auto haben wir an der Straße geparkt - neben dem 24-Stundenpreis von 120 kn gibt es auch ein Wochenticket für 400kn (an sich braucht man nicht unbedingt ein Auto - weit kann man nicht fahren, ohne eine Extra-Auslands-Gebühr von EUR 75 zu bezahlen, da man durch den Neum-Korridor quasi von Bosnien-Herzegowina und Montenegro umzingelt ist - Inseln kosten "Insel"-Gebühren). Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen, nachdem wir uns immer darauf gefreut haben, nach den täglichen Ausflügen in das Haus zurück zu kommen.

Very comfortable and spacious. 10 minutes to beach and 25 to old city walking. Great restaurants within a few minutes. Bakery just below apartment. Marinela was always available to assist with all of our needs.

Spacious house close to the city

Spacious house within walking distance of Dubrovnik very clean and beautifully decorated. Large sunny balcony at front of house and shady terrace at the rear with fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom where all large with comfy beds, bathrooms where a good size and very clean with lots of towels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Only possible down side is the amount of steps you have to climb to the property as they are quite steep.
