About this property
Kamari Real Living, with Caldera views and Jacuzzi
Traditional Canava House– A Cycladic Escape in Thirasia with Caldera Views.
Welcome to a timeless piece of Thirasia’s heritage—an authentic traditional house, part of a canava (winery) - lovingly restored into a serene escape.
Perched above the cliffs of the caldera and surrounded by the untouched charm of this small Cycladic island, the property blends centuries-old architecture with modern comfort.
Ideal for couples and travelers seeking an intimate, slow-living island experience
Originally, built in 1873 , the estate functioned as a small canava (winery & Spirit cellar), consisting of a Rakidio (distillery of spirits), kotetsi (henhouse), a stone-built cistern, stone build wood oven & vineyards .
Today, the main building has been carefully transformed into a fully equipped house, preserving the original character, while offering the amenities of a refined boutique stay.
The house (50sm) can comfortably accommodate a couple in the bedroom (no in-between door). Small children or an extra guest can be accommodated in the extra bed in the living space.
A satellite wifi connection (reliable & uninterrupted) makes this a perfect spot for remote work—ideal for digital nomads, writers, and creatives
Guests will enjoy sole and exclusive access to the entire property. There will be no other guests sharing the premises, ensuring complete privacy and a peaceful, intimate stay.
Guests can stroll through the plot of land and step back in time to experience how wine and spirits were made ( with features like wine presses (patitiria) and built-in benches for barrels (afoures).
We want you to feel completely at home and fully enjoy the peace of Thirasia.
We will be happy to welcome you upon arrival and ensure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We are always delighted to share local tips, hidden spots, hiking paths, and everything you need to know to experience the island like a local.
We’re available by message throughout your stay, ready to assist with questions, recommendations, or anything else that might enhance your visit. At the same time, we fully respect your privacy and will only come by if needed or requested.
You won’t need a car during your stay—2 bikes are provided ( by 4/2026) , and the local bus is convenient to use. If the weather is permitting (no too hot) , hiking the ancient paths is a great way to explore the island.
By 3/2026 there will be a jacuzzi with views to caldera , available to guests
Manolas is a quiet village with just 180 permanent residents (The island of Thirasia has around 300). While most tourist services open after May, the house is right next to a minimarket, bakery, and bus stop—serving the local population throughout the year.

My grandmother was born here. In the old days, the locals
gave nicknames to the houses. At the turn of the century, my
grandmother’s house was named “Kamarí” for its domed
ceilings, which have been preserved.
The restoration of Kamarí, originally built in 1873, respects
the island traditions of using Kourasanit on the exterior to
guarantee durability and retain ideal interior temperatures.
Built on top of an antique “canava” (the greek word for
winery) where my family made wine, this is where my father
was born. And this is where my traditions, story and values
originated.
I come here to regenerate. I come here to touch base with
nature. And when I’m here I relax, find peace and de-stress.
On every visit, I discover something new about this corner of
the world and about myself. I hope that, you too, can
experience the magic. And when you do, share it with me and
others.
