We’re thrilled to reintroduce The Great Pyrenees, one of our most loved homes in the Poconos. Every bedroom and gathering space has been refreshed with new furniture, cozy accents, and thoughtful design updates to make your stay even more comfortable and inspiring.
This home holds special meaning for us. Our beloved Great Pyrenees, Wisp, inspired not only the name but the spirit of the space. The breed’s gentle strength and mountain heritage perfectly mirror the setting — “the big dog of the mountains” feels right at home here. Throughout the house, you’ll find small touches celebrating our love for dogs and the peace they bring. We hope you feel that same sense of warmth and belonging during your stay — and yes, your four-legged family members are welcome here too.
Indoor Comforts The home comfortably accommodates up to 18 guests, featuring 12 beds and one queen-sized futon. Each bedroom includes its own Smart TV, offering both privacy and connection for large groups and families.

Main Living Room Vaulted wood ceilings and a stone-accented fireplace create a warm, rustic atmosphere. Two sectionals provide space for everyone to gather, while sunlight streams in through large windows and sliding doors that open to the deck and grill. Whether it’s movie night, game night, or a quiet morning coffee by the fire, this is the heart of the home.
The Pyrenees Pub Downstairs, you’ll find one of our favorite spaces — a full entertainment lounge complete with a bar, bar stools, shuffleboard, billiards, foosball, and a brand-new poker table along with select board games. Comfortable couches surround the fireplace, making it a perfect hangout spot. Don’t miss the stunning Great Pyrenees mural, hand-painted by a local artist, that brings the room to life.

The house and property were spacious and clean. We appreciated that the kitchen was well equipped for cooking and eating in. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm even though the temperature outside didn’t get out of the teens for several days and wind chills were sometimes below zero. In the interest of full honesty, we had some issues with our communication but this was because the house changed management and listing platform after we made our initial payment and I’m sure the same issues would never happen to anyone else. We enjoyed our stay very much. For future guests, I would suggest explaining what the trash service option means. We had one pickup only, after we requested it. I’m not sure what the service was meant to entail. We would all be happy to stay here again if we return to the area. I’m sure warm weather would be just as much fun in the area, but we were hoping for snow and we got it! Nevertheless the driveway was plowed before we arrived and again a day or two later after another snowfall. This home is a wonderful, comfortable and spacious house to spend time with family or friends. Thank you for prompt responses to our questions once we arrived. Check-in and check-out were easy.
