We hope you fall in love with this cozy, peaceful retreat atop the Appalachian Mountains. To help keep the property clean, safe, and enjoyable for future guests, please follow these house rules.
Basic House Rules
-No smoking or vaping indoors (including cigars). Any evidence of smoking inside will result in a $500 fee.
-No pets. Due to owner allergies, we cannot accommodate pets. Bringing a pet will result in a $500 fee.
-Indoor fireplace safety: Use firewood only. Never leave a fire unattended, and do not go to sleep with the fire burning strongly—always make sure it is safely reduced or out.
-Outdoor fire pit: Keep fires at a reasonable size—no large bonfires (fire hazard).
-High winds / burn notices: Do not use the outdoor fire pit during high winds or when burn bans are in effect. If there are any local fire warnings, we will notify you.
Check-Out Rules
-Place all used linens and towels in the provided laundry bags.
-Remove all items from the refrigerator and freezer.
-Load all dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it using the provided dish pods.
-Return all pots and pans to their original locations.
-Place all trash in the trash cans before checking out.
Health & Safety
-A first aid kit is located in the downstairs bathroom and the main-floor bathroom.
-Always use the handrails when going up and down the stairs.
-Extra blankets are in the closets and dressers in each room. If used, please place them in the laundry bags at check-out.
