About this property
The Bear’s Den at Triple Z
Summary:
Quiet spacious, 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin on the water! Sleeps 8, full kitchen, great room, and covered patio. 2 minutes to downtown Medicine Park and Wichita Mountains
The Space:
The Bear’s Den is a cozy-yet-spacious cabin designed for groups or families. With two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, it comfortably sleeps 8. The primary bedroom features a king bed and twin daybed with trundle. Bedroom two has a queen bed, and the great room includes a queen-size Murphy bed. Guests enjoy a full kitchen, a large great room with a great view, a separate living room, and a covered patio with lake views. Rustic charm meets modern comfort, all just steps from the water.
Guest Access:
Guests have full, private access to The Bear’s Den, including the kitchen, living areas, patio, and water views. Onsite parking is available, and laundry is shared with guests of the neighboring Cubhouse cabin.
The Neighborhood:
As of June 2025 Gondola Dam is being repaired and the creek is currently drained on our side. The property is still beautiful and there is still plenty of places in town to enjoy Medicine Creek. But I wanted everyone to be aware.
The Bear’s Den is located within Medicine Park city limits but set just far enough from downtown to enjoy peace and quiet. It’s a 2-minute drive to the heart of town and directly next to the entrance of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge—ideal for hiking, nature-watching, and scenic drives.
Getting Around:
Downtown Medicine Park is just a 2-minute drive away, and the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is right next door.
Please note: there is a small, low-water crossing just before our driveway. Standard vehicles handle it just fine, but if you're driving a lowered or low-profile car, we recommend taking it slow when crossing.
Other Things to Note:
We occasionally get visits from our neighbors’ chickens, a pot-bellied pig named Kevin Bacon, and the family dog. We're new to the neighborhood, and they were here first! Most guests really enjoy their visits (we love that the chickens help keep the bugs away). DO NOT allow pets or children to chase or pester them. If you’d prefer they move along, just ignore them they'll keep moving. You're also in a natural area, so you might spot deer, raccoons, or the occasional fox nearby. It’s all part of the charm of staying close to nature.
Interaction with Guests:
As your host, I’ll let you enjoy your stay uninterrupted, but I’m totally available if you need anything. Feel free to message me through the booking app or call/text me directly.
There are two separate cabins on the property: The Bear’s Den and The Cubhouse. Both are private units, but they share access to the onsite guest laundry and lake access.
