A holiday apartment in Rheinhessen, the largest German wine region.
Near the city of Mainz, the small but nice Alice apartment welcomes you in the municipality of Ingelheim-Wackernheim. Whether for a visiting professorship, internships, a consulting job or something else, the Alice apartment offers the all-round feel-good package for long-term tenants, or for anyone who appreciates flexible rental periods. This 1-room apartment was completely renovated in 2019 and equipped with new furniture. The apartment comprises a total of 39 square meters and is located in a 2-family house in the basement, which is mostly above ground due to the hillside location. You can easily reach the apartment via an external staircase and the common staircase.
The living room and bedroom are 19 square meters with a large daylight window. It is bright, spacious and equipped with: • a desk • a chest of drawers • a flat screen TV • a bed chair • a shelf • a box spring bed (140x200cm) The hall with 6 square meters houses a large mirror cabinet, which offers space for a complete wardrobe for several months. This also represents the passage to the kitchen, which is fully equipped: • large fridge • Induction cooker with integrated oven • dishwasher • Coffee machine • Water heater • microwave • Bar table with 2 stools (including backrests & 2 foldable side stools)
A matt glass door leads from the kitchen to the bathroom, which also ensures daylight for this room. In the bathroom you can expect: • Daylight window • Comfortable shower alcove • Radiator as a towel dryer • Sink • toilet • Mirror cabinet
All rooms are equipped with pleasant LED lights. In winter, the apartment can be comfortably tempered within a very short time, in summer, however, the basement location offers a cool retreat (not above 24 degrees). Sufficient parking spaces (free of charge) can be found in the adjacent street (little traffic) and also in various side streets. A net is within walking distance on the main street and a Rewe or Müller are in the neighboring towns. The city center of Mainz can be reached within a few minutes by car. If you prefer public transport, there is a bus stop approx. 350 meters from the apartment, where you can take bus line 56 to Mainz main station without changing trains. You can go hiking and cycling in the surrounding area.
From Aushilfspantani - The Mainzer Berg is a 249 m high hill in the Rhenish Hessian hills west of Mainz and east of Ingelheim. The Rhine flows in an arc along the elevation about 170 meters lower: to the north in about five kilometers, to the east in Mainz about 15 kilometers away. The view over the Rhine Valley extends to the slopes of the Taunus on the opposite side of the Rhine, and when the weather is good, the high-rise buildings of the banking metropolis of Frankfurt can be seen in the east. To the south you can imagine the numerous hills of Rheinhessen with their vines. The landscape is largely unforested and characterized by wine and fruit growing. Also worth mentioning is the airport formerly used by the US military on the plateau towards Mainz-Finthen, which is now used by sport aviators. The driveway from Heidesheim is particularly interesting: 117 vertical meters over 2.4 kilometers with a maximum gradient of 11% are the most demanding thing that is so close to Mainz. The driveway is therefore also called the Wackernheim wall. Since there are only 20 vertical meters to 2.5 kilometers from there to the Mainzer Berg, we end the climb in Wackernheim.
