Oh so quiet and calming
Hidden away in the corner of the nearby National Eifel Forest, this beautiful little village is peaceful and quiet. We found this house at the end of the village with beautiful views from the balcony. The owner, Frau Linden, and her daughter were charming and welcoming.
The house itself has two double bedrooms; a smaller on the ground floor, and a larger also containing a single bed and a cot, on the upstairs level. The beds are made up with good linens and are of a good size.
Downstairs there is a lovely shower room/WC with also a washing machine. In the open plan living space is a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher electric hob and fan cook plus a good size under counter fridge. There are all assortments of plates/cooking equipment/glassware etc for your use.
The sitting room side has a two sofa setup with a TV and free wifi (though the wifi is a little week at times).
Outside there is a private patio with a set of good garden furniture and a bbq for use. On the lawn above is a sturdy good double swing set with climbing frame and a slide for the younger children. My son loved it.
We were only here for five days but will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended for a quiet location close enough to the train line to get you to Köln for an easy day out. Aachen is about 1½ hours away by road through the forest.
Very nice home.
