About the host

Host profile image
We’re travelers at heart and have spent years exploring different parts of the world, often staying in vacation homes ourselves. Those experiences shaped what we value most when we travel—comfort, thoughtful details, and a place that feels welcoming rather than just a place to sleep.

We created Tri-Cities Sunset Sanctuary with that mindset, aiming to offer the kind of home we always hoped to find while traveling. We enjoy spending time outdoors, discovering local food and wine, and unwinding in quiet, scenic places—many of the same things that drew us to this location.

While we’re newer to hosting, we bring the perspective of long-time guests and genuinely enjoy helping others have a relaxing, memorable stay. We’re always happy to share local tips or assist if needed and hope our home feels like a comfortable retreat during your time in the Tri-Cities.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it offers a rare balance of peaceful surroundings and everyday convenience. It’s quiet, scenic, and feels tucked away, yet you’re just minutes from shopping, restaurants, and the main routes connecting Richland, Kennewick, and Pasco.

What we enjoy most is the natural setting. The home backs onto preserved open land near the Yakima Delta, with easy access to the Yakima and Columbia Rivers, nearby parks, and running and biking trails. It’s the kind of place where mornings are calm, evenings are quiet, and sunsets are something you can truly slow down and enjoy.

At the same time, everything you need is close by—Costco, the Columbia Center Mall, wineries, riverfront dining, and the airport are all a short drive away. For us, it’s the perfect blend of tranquility, scenery, and accessibility, which is exactly what we wanted to share with our guests.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property unique is the way it combines peaceful natural surroundings with a central, highly convenient location. While many homes are close to town, few offer the feeling of being surrounded by nature—our home backs onto preserved open land near the Yakima Delta, providing privacy, tranquility, and beautiful open views.

The double back deck is a standout feature, offering a perfect spot to enjoy sunsets, unwind with a glass of wine, or simply relax after a day of exploring the Tri-Cities. The home’s single-level layout also sets it apart, making it especially comfortable for families, older guests, and anyone who appreciates easy accessibility.

Beyond the setting, the home is thoughtfully equipped—fully stocked kitchen, dedicated workspace, comfortable living areas, and a calm, uncluttered design inspired by years of travel. It’s not just a place to stay, but a peaceful home base where guests can slow down, recharge, and truly enjoy their time in the Tri-Cities.
