Holiday apartments on a sunny country estate with a panoramic view, a large garden and a shared pool
The country estate is in lower Tuscany, along the source of the Fiora River, in the Monte Amiata region. It is near the Tuscan Maremma and beaches. It lies at 500 metres above sea level.
The country house is surrounded by an 8000m2 garden with plants, lovely flowers and olive groves. It offers a pool surrounded by a sun terrace with parasols and loungers, inviting you to relax and sunbathe after a refreshing dip. A barbecue is also available. The fenced site, closed off by a gate, has shaded parking spaces and garages. The Allodola apartment has its own driveway with a parking space.
The country house has been renovated and extended over the years. It consists of a building with three independent holiday apartments: Capriolo on the ground floor and Fagiano on the first floor look out directly towards the large, shared garden with a pool. The third apartment, Allodola, is in an annex to the rear of the house and has its own outdoor area. In order to be able to enjoy the rural surroundings to the full, there is no Internet connection.
In La Selva, Santa Fiora, about 4km away there is a cafe with a pizzeria and restaurant, as well as a general shop. In the centre of Santa Fiora (6km) you can find a supermarket, a bar, a butcher, restaurants, a wine bar etc. The area has many places of interest, from the medieval localities Pienza and San Quirco to the towns on the Strada dei Tufi: Sovana, Sorano and Pitigliano, which have Etruscan origins. The area has a very appealing landscape and there are some thermal baths, such as at Saturnia, Sorano, San Filippo and San Casciano.
The country house affords a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding hilly landscape. It faces south-west and so enjoys sunshine until the late afternoon.
The holiday flat (130 m²) is located on the first floor of the country house and is accessible via an external staircase. It can accommodate up to eight persons. It has one room with a double bed and two triple rooms, each with a double bed and a single bed (size: 160x190cm and 80x190cm). The large kitchen is equipped with a dining table, a wood-burning stove (not usable) and a kitchenette. It is very well equipped and includes an oven, a gas cooker with electric hotplate, a coffee machine, a toaster, a microwave and a refrigerator with freezer. The living room is very comfortable and offers two sofas, a large dining table, a fireplace (firewood is provided) and a TV with satellite channels. There are also two bathrooms: one with a bath and shower cubicle and one with a shower cubicle. A washing machine is also available. The flat has heating but no air conditioning, as its location ensures a pleasant temperature even in the summer months.
Flat guests have a table and chairs available in the common outdoor area.
