The house is beautiful! Very clean and the boat was very quick to respond. The neighborhood was very quiet aside from the train coming through during the night. The bunk bed mattress was very soft as well as the back bedroom, the bedroom closest to the livingroom has a firm mattress. All in all a very cozy, beautiful well equipped home.
We really enjoyed our stay. This is the first time we stayed in Hammond, LA. We were very comfortable in the home. Communications with the host were excellent. It was nice to go out for graduation at the Southeastern University. It was a very friendly atmosphere. There's stores and the mall near. I would definitely recommend this home for your stay/s. Thank you.
For a three bedroom the house, you couldn’t ask for a better price. The house is convenient to downtown and SLU.

Liked: Listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in
Our stay was nice. Host had a hiccup with check in and house wasn’t clean. Host was friendly and kept in touch. Overall the place had enough room and was okay for our one night stay in the area.
The cleanliness was extremely lacking when we arrived. We messaged the host and after no response within an acceptable amount of time we messaged VRBO. The host drove in to clean it herself but that put us out of place until after 7 pm. She did rectify the situation but it was a huge inconvenience. It is also not noted on the listing that there is another rental attached to this one and the other listing shares a driveway and they have to walk in front and around the side of the house to access it in the backyard. Thankfully, no one was there at the time but it would have been upsetting if there had been since that wasn’t disclosed prior.
The home is nice and comfortable, but our stay was affected by many maintenance, supply, and hospitality issues. We found a malfunctioning lamp, a broken tub faucet handle, squeaky doors, a closet door dragging from a broken hinge, loose outlet covers, poor kitchen‑sink water pressure, missing paint, a rusty/dusty hallway vent, two non‑working lights (bathroom ceiling‑fan light and alcove light), no toilet‑paper holder, and a bedspread with large holes. Both exterior doors had visible light gaps in the gasket, and the AC failed due to poor maintenance, requiring a late repair. Basic supplies like toilet paper and paper towels ran out and the supply closet was then locked; the host stated only an initial supply is provided. The tall kitchen trash bags provided were poor quality and difficult to open. Several kitchen essentials were missing altogether, including a microwave, tongs, and a dish scrubber, and a sign discouraged using the working garbage disposal for any food debris. Only a Swiffer was provided instead of a broom. During our stay, multiple packages were delivered to the home, and an AT&T installer arrived between 8–10 a.m. expecting the homeowner; while it’s possible the appointment was for the adjacent unit, it was still unexpected and concerning to have a service worker arrive during our stay. Checkout required excessive chores such as stripping beds and vacuuming. When small issues were raised, the host was resistant rather than accommodating.
