Current Offer: Take advantage of the €9 ticket for our in-house train connection to Gamburg (Tauber)!!!
The spacious “Alter Bahnhof” apartment is located on the mezzanine/ground floor of the Gamburg train station and formerly housed the railway offices and the waiting room. After conversion and renovation, this space was transformed into a holiday apartment in a vintage industrial style, featuring 4-meter-high walls, solid wood floors, huge divided windows, and 5 exterior doors. Three of them open directly onto the train platform.
The centrepiece of the apartment is the 30-square-meter designer kitchen made of wood and steel.
A kitchen island with an induction cooktop, oven, steam oven, and pizza oven features a counter with bar stools at the back. There is a two-meter-long kitchen table that seats eight, a worktop along the wall next to a granite sink and dishwasher, a stainless-steel fridge-freezer combo, and a steel wood-burning stove with a baking compartment. Recessed into the floor is a track with a walk-through glass panel, beneath which you can see the old drive wheels of the former railway tracks glowing.
From the kitchen, you enter the lounge with three leather sofas and a TV.
The apartment also features three double bedrooms facing south and west, accommodating six people. There is also a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, double sink, toilet, and whirlpool tub. A separate toilet is also provided.
The icing on the cake is the old waiting room, which—with its thick wooden planks, surrounding wainscoting, and view of the greenery—invites guests to play games, make music, and celebrate together.
The train station is an imposing historic building made of red sandstone, the entire structure of which is a designated historic landmark.
