Overall, our stay was okay, but there were a few maintenance issues that future guests should be aware of. The air conditioning unit appeared to be leaking in one of the bedrooms, and there was a large crack in the bathroom ceiling that was concerning to see. We also were unable to get the oven to work during our stay. It’s possible we missed something, but we couldn’t get it operating despite our attempts. The property had some positive aspects, but these issues affected our experience. Hopefully the host can address them, as the home has potential to be a comfortable place to stay.
We were surprised at how old the place was compared to the photos. The ceiling over the shower sagged, the back deck was rotting in several places, The master bed is listed as a king. We have a king and that was not one. It was a queen. We didn't find any mold, but there was a slight mildew smell inside the house. On the 2nd day, as we were packing to leave, we received a knock on the door. It was two men who were doing fire extinguisher checks. We didn't get notified by anyone prior to them coming by and asking to enter while we were there with little children. We've stayed at many rentals for vacations & never had that happen.

The master bedroom says king it’s at best a queen. The ditch out front was full of trash. There was a bottle of dog soap on the porch covered in mold speaking of mold the whole house smells like mold in the second you walk in, the sink cabinet is full of mold the smell is horrible. The roof of the shower is sagging and cracking. The landscaping was over grown, and a few other things that aren’t really important. That being said these are things they can fix and I hope they do because it’s a good house the beds were comfortable the tvs and ac units seem new, the seats were nice, it’s very well equipped, it was very clean, in a great location and at the price we paid (180 a night) it’s definitely a good deal for the area, but couldn’t said I would pay more than that during peak season unless they fix the issues. Not bad but could improve.

Everything was good! Nice place. One thing is the king size bed is a queen. We did have an issue with ac leaking we called it in and it was fixed before we got back from dinner. Very responsive to calls.

Thank you so much for the kind words — we're really glad you enjoyed your stay! You're absolutely right about the bed, and we apologize for the mix-up. We've gone ahead and updated the listing to correctly show it as a queen, so future guests will have the right details from the start.
Thank you, too, for letting us know about the AC leak. We're glad we could get it sorted before you were back from dinner, and we appreciate your patience while we took care of it. Hearing that we were responsive when you needed us means a lot.
We'd love to host you again whenever you're ready to come back — see you next time!
