About this property

Timber Hill Sanctuary Quiet 34-Acre Getaway

Welcome to Timber Hill Sanctuary — a secluded 34-acre escape designed for connection and quiet. This spacious 5-bed, 3-bath home is perfect for bachelor/bachelorette getaways, retreats, sports viewings, fantasy football gatherings, and weekends with family & friends. Surrounded by forest and farmland, enjoy total privacy, open gathering spaces, and peaceful views just minutes from town. Unplug, recharge, and make yourselves at home.

Designed in 1964 by renowned architect Royal Barry Wills, this thoughtfully crafted home blends timeless design with modern comfort—creating a space made for connection, creativity, and rest.

The home spans approximately 1,700 square feet across two levels and features five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests. This space has been newly renovated, bringing modern comforts but still preserving its original design.

Inside, you’ll find open, welcoming spaces designed for gathering—whether that’s sharing meals around the oak dining table, cooking together in the fully equipped kitchen with a marble island, or relaxing in the living room with a movie or game on the 65" Canvas TV. A dedicated office/study offers a quiet place to read, reflect, or work when needed.

Downstairs, additional sleeping quarters (four bunk beds) and a second lounge with 80" TV create space for groups to spread out while still feeling connected. Outside, the property opens up into wide skies, forest edges, and peaceful views—perfect for unwinding by the fire pit, grilling on the patio, or simply enjoying the stillness.

Timber Hill Sanctuary offers total privacy, space to breathe, and room to gather—just minutes from town, yet worlds away. Whether you’re here to celebrate, collaborate, or unplug, this is a place where meaningful moments naturally unfold.

As part of the charm of this historic countryside home, this property offers an authentic, back-to-basics experience—complete with a traditional septic system that reflects its heritage. To help preserve the home’s character and ensure everything runs smoothly, guests are asked to use the provided waste baskets for toilet paper and tissues rather than flushing. It’s a small, mindful adjustment that helps protect the integrity of this unique and timeless retreat.

This home provided a peaceful environment with lots of room and plenty of parking space for our larger group. We enjoyed the quiet country atmosphere that was close to town with amenities a few minutes away. We appreciated the open architecture that accommodated group gatherings. It was nice having so many single beds since it was a cousins reunion. The host was very quick to respond to a couple things that were needed upon check in. Things could have been a little cleaner and the requirements due to the septic system were not originally posted when we booked the house, so that was a surprise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Host was exceptionally response, place was really nice and quiet and fairly easy to find. Not being able to dispose of TP in the toilet, due to septic system "sensitivity" was something I should have been in description. I would have easily overlooked that had the price been more reasonable. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I just would not have chose the place had certain issues been mentioned during booking. Having a responsive host made it enjoyable non-the-less.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback Scott; we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that the septic system note caught you by surprise during your stay. That’s completely fair, and we understand how that could feel unexpected. Since your visit, we’ve made sure to clearly include this information in our listing so future guests know what to expect ahead of time. We’re glad to hear that you still found the home peaceful and enjoyable overall, and that our responsiveness helped make your stay a positive one. You’d absolutely be welcome back anytime, and we hope that with clearer expectations upfront, a future stay would feel even more seamless.
