This home has two bedrooms with one and a half bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a twin, day bed with a twin-sized trundle. Both bedrooms have blackout curtains in addition to blinds. The living room includes a brand-new 4 K smart television. A dining table seating up to four people is in the living room. The bathrooms have received some updating with modern touches while retaining the rustic charm. Soft hand and body towels are provided for all guests. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are also provided. The kitchen has been completely updated with quartz countertops, brand new cabinets, and appliances. Inside the kitchen, ground coffee and a limited selection of K-Cups are provided. The washer and dryer are located in the back of the living room in a semi-separated space. Guests can enjoy sitting on the private back porch, which offers views of the old trees in the neighborhood. The neighborhood itself is very quiet, with the property located on a dead-end street, limiting traffic. When entering the house, guests will be assigned a private digital key-code, meaning no physical keys will need to be exchanged or carried around during guests' stay.
No parties allowed at the property, and no smoking on the property. The neighborhood residents are quiet, and we ask that guests staying at the Hay Cottage respect that atmosphere by limiting noise between 10pm and 8am. The property does include smoking noise sensors. There is a video doorbell camera and a rear door camera that show the exterior entrances, but do not include any interior images.
For guests with mobility questions, there are four steps from the entrance pathway to the front porch. The kitchen, living room, half bathroom, and laundry space are located on the first floor, with both bedrooms and the full bathroom located on the second floor. The house is located 1 mile from the Haymount Truck stop, Miller's Brew coffee shop, and other unique Haymount shops and restaurants. It is a 10-minute drive to Fayetteville State University, 14 minutes to Methodist University, 18 minutes to Fort Bragg, and 10 minutes to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
