About this property
Holiday house Wildemann for 1 - 5 persons with 2 bedrooms - Holiday house
ED Refnr. 2850454
Surrounded by beautiful nature, romantically nestled between the Innerste and Spiegel valleys, the former Upper Harz mountain town of Wildemann lies at an altitude of almost 400 metres above sea level. Due to its location in the valley and the surrounding mountains, Wildemann describes itself as "Little Tyrol in the Upper Harz". With its old half-timbered houses, this town has a very special atmosphere, reminiscent of a long mining tradition and the Upper Harz's heyday as a former industrial centre. The town of Wildemann owes its name to an old legend about the "Wild Man". The "Wild Man", a mysterious giant, is said to have lived in a cave in the forest and aroused the suspicion of the first miners who settled there. Our Harz holiday home welcomes you in a fantastically beautiful location right at the end of a cul-de-sac, sheltered by the mountains and right next to the babbling Spiegeltalbach stream. Here you and your loved ones can enjoy the Harz sunshine on a 500 square metre, fully fenced property. The covered terrace with its seating area invites you to relax and socialise in this wonderfully situated holiday home for all seasons! Sauna house, fireplace, box-spring beds, WLAN, 500 m² fenced property, carport, covered terrace. Dogs are welcome!
- Covered terrace with seating and barbecue - Parking / carport - Fully fenced, 500 m² property
A special highlight is our infrared sauna in our own sauna house. Soothing warmth and deeply relaxing radiation are just the thing after an eventful day! Afterwards, relax in our integrated relaxation area and let your mind wander. But nothing beats a good night's sleep! On the ground floor you will find our small bedroom with a box-spring double bed, which ensures optimum sleeping comfort. Because only those who sleep well can face the next day with new energy. In bedroom no. 2, which is spread over the entire upper floor, you will also find a box-spring bed for two people as well as a single bed and a solid baby cot. If you are our guest in winter, you will certainly love our fireplace in the open-plan living area. It spreads a cosy warmth that makes you feel at home, especially on cold and uncomfortable days. The flickering flames in the fireplace and the moving flames will calm your body and mind. Relaxation is guaranteed! The open-plan living area with cosy seating and a Smart TV is integrated into our very well-equipped kitchen with a rustic bench and a wooden table where you can enjoy hearty meals together.
An extensive network of hiking trails awaits you around Wildemann, leading you on various routes along easy hillside paths and through quiet side valleys, along clear streams and flowering mountain meadows. Numerous benches and shelters, various information boards with explanations about nature and culture invite you to linger. The idyllic ponds also offer opportunities for fishing and swimming. The landscape of the Upper Harz offers many sports and at the same time a very special, direct experience of nature. Cyclists and mountain bikers get their money's worth here. Mountain bikers will find access to the extensive network of trails in the Volksbank Arena Harz around Wildemann. In Wildemann, cyclists have direct access to the Innerstetal cycle path, which runs for 105 kilometres from the Harz to the Leine. In winter, the Upper Harz is transformed into a dreamlike winter wonderland. The snow-covered mountains around Wildemann can be explored on various cross-country ski trails or on a romantic winter hike. Of course, the region also offers other leisure activities in addition to many sporting activities. For example, you can visit the 19-Lachter-Stollen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the pretty Maria Magdalenen Church (reconstruction of the burnt-down church, built in 1915). The traditional cattle drive, which takes place every year on Whit Sunday, is always very popular with holidaymakers. The latest attraction in Wildemann is the new "Glowgolf Harz" course. This is the first indoor minigolf course to welcome visitors under black light. In addition to a spectacular blaze of colour in fluorescent colour wonder worlds, the Glowgolf course also tells stories and legends from the Harz Mountains. You will encounter miners, witches and railways as you play. There is also something for your beloved "fur noses". The Harz Dog Forest was opened in 2009. Open all year round, the free-range area covers an area of approx. 3000 square metres and is fenced in all around and has been cleared of wildlife. Your dogs can roam freely here. The visit is free of charge. As you can see, the Harz Mountains are always worth a visit! We look forward to welcoming YOU to our Harz holiday home and wish you and your loved ones a wonderful and eventful "break from everyday life" in our lovingly decorated and cosily furnished wooden house.
A separate sauna house with infrared cabin and relaxation area is available free of charge. When booking, please note that the upper floor can only be reached via a very steep staircase.
