*** Driving time to Yosemite Valley: approx. 25-35 minutes

Yosemite's splendors are within easy driving distance: the three most popular visitors' destination areas within the park are: Yosemite Valley floor, spectacular Glacier Point and Wawona and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Redwoods - each less than a 25 to 30 minute drive from the house!

This private residence was built to take full advantage of the unobstructed westerly views ... No neighbors in sight when you look out towards the western horizon and nothing between you and glorious sunsets and millions of stars.

*** THE RED DOOR Apt *** (on the mid-level floor): one of the two units at this duplex property, is a one bedroom/one bath unit (575 sq. ft.) plus a 375 sq. ft. deck. It has lots of windows, long views to the Western horizon as well as forest views everywhere else. Fully equipped kitchen, bath with shower over tub, and a sunny deck with plenty of deck furniture and a gas grill for BBQ's.

*** A/C with thermostat
*** A land line telephone with local service is included
*** Laundry appliances available
*** Smart TV / no cable TV
*** Guests must be able to climb several flights of stairs to access the 2 units in this property.
*** This is a duplex property (guests will hear sounds of occupancy from the rental unit above).

*** OUR GUESTS: Our vacation home has been enjoyed by couples on their honeymoon, many anniversaries, several **I'll be asking her hand** events, and many book and nature lovers, romantic stargazers, painters and photographers.

*** TIOGA PASS (Hwy 120) closes early each winter due to snow and opens in early summer - please check before planning your traveling route.

*** Activities in the park are many: fishing, hiking, biking, bird-watching and much more. More active folks can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating, river rafting, and horseback riding to name a few.

*** This is a place away from the crowded Yosemite Valley floor, a place for evening relaxation: sit back and enjoy the wind whispering through the cedars, pines and dogwoods; stargazers can marvel at the clear night skies with millions of stars while listening to the sounds of the forest from the deck!

Yosemite offers world-famous scenic views and a variety of activities for everyone, year around. A few examples of the many organized activities offered are: free art classes (watercolor, sketching & drawing, etc.), morning photography walks, a Valley Birdwalk, special programs designed for families and children, and so much more.
