Welcome to Wasatch Retreat - Relax in this gorgeous Utah vacation home for the perfect ski trip, family reunion, convention, or group lodging. One of our most popular mountainside vacation homes overlooking Salt Lake City. Located 10 minutes to Little Cottonwood Canyon for you to enjoy Snowbird and Alta resorts.



Perched high on South Mountain near Corner Canyon is this family-favorite getaway. Great location for us

All was as expected because we had stayed here before. One thing that was confusing was the number of codes I kept getting by email.Also the AC either wasn't up to full speed or it just took a long time to kick in. I never found the alarm that was spoken of. This is a very accommodating property for a family gathering.

Nice home

Lovely home and peaceful area. Some more thick/larger bath towels would be nice. It was sad to see how some people treated the place with some of the home damage.

Great family stay

We came in town for a baseball tournament and joined up with a family at this house. I would have to say a great house for families. We had all the kids on the bottom floor and all the adults on the top floor. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Fantastic house for large family gathering

We had a great extended family stay. The house was clean and roomy. Views were beautiful. Plenty of beds and bedding. Well stocked kitchen. No major issues.

Family time

We had 21 of us staying at this location. It was our mothers 76 birthday. It was the perfect house for us. The kids loved the theater room, everyone loved the pool table and we loved the view of the SLC valley.

Nice big house

This is a massive house. Plenty of room to spread out. Amazing view from the living and master bedroom. The only downside is a funky layout and the hot tub is in the garage. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Family and friends trip for graduation

We loved location being close to the trails leading to the mountains. Close enough to downtown of Salt Lake City and airport with a good air quality. Sunset views from the balcony is just stunning. Kitchen was well equipped. Master bedroom was phenomenal. Overall, not enough bathrooms. Main floor has nice bedroom with powder room. 3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 bathroom. 1 bathroom in the basement accessible through one of the bedrooms. Fridge in the kitchen has been broken for a long time looking at reviews. Service was responsive but unable to fix. We had to turn off ice make not to to flood the kitchen floor. Also, hut tub is in a garage. Overall, we had great experience and would come back with large group of people. Hopefully, meanwhile some of these issued will be addressed.

Great lives and loads of space.

House over looks Salt Lake City with great view of mountains and city lights. Fall colors were beautiful. The house handles 18 people easily with beds for everyone. We stayed there for a soccer tournament with 3 other families. Driving to the soccer complex was 30 min but the house was worth the drive 2x/day.

Beware

The house was advertised as being able to sleep 20 but the bedding for all the beds was dirty laying near the laundry room with all of the towels. The property manager did find someone to come out to make the beds and we finally had a place to sleep at midnight. I did have to find other accommodations for my guests and the property manager did not feel that this was worthy of a partial refund . When trying to communicate with them, they will ghost you.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was beautiful and spacious! It was very clean. The instruction to get into the home was a little confusing, but the back door was unlocked and the alarm was off. It would be nice if there was a full bathroom on the main floor. They also need handrails going into the basement. I am elderly and did not dare go downstairs. We called about the ice and water in the fridge did not work and we did not hear back about coming to fix it. There was also a toilet handle that was not working right, which did not get fixed. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious but a little run down

This was a beautiful large home. Pros: Lots of space for everyone (grandkids could play in basement and adults could have a conversation upstairs), great pool table, movie room fun for grandkids, very clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning worked well on first two floors, kitchen well equipped, lots of seating, great outdoor views, and hot tub worked well (although it was a little weird to have it in the garage) AND the dryer didn't make an annoying noise! Cons: In the bunkrooms in the basement there are no vents, so when the kids slept in there it got very warm, even with a fan going. The freezer didn't work (ice cream melted) and we noticed from other reviews that that is a common complaint. The wi-fi was so slow, that we couldn't stream movies and it took over 20 minutes to download an app. The chairs in the movie room are very worn out, and there are signs of wear & tear throughout the house.

Bear hills house

Property is a bit dated with not very well installed shag carpet, ripped felt and bent cues for the pool table, limited closet/drawer space in several bedrooms. It could use another shower or two. We had a broken thermostat stuck on 81 upstairs and a non functional heater on the other two floors making it very hot upstairs and very cold everywhere for the first night. The washing machine had a faulty spin cycle so you could only wash a few cloths at a time, but it was functional if tedious. Plenty of room, hot tub in the garage was weird but worked great. Beds were comfy, view was awesome, neighborhood was nice and it was conveniently located near anything you would likely need and not too far from the cottonwood canyons. We all had a blast. Overall I would recommend this house. It was completely adequate and functional but not high end. I give a solid five stars to the Utah’s best folks. In fact they did so well that this is the first review I’ve ever felt the need to write. They fixed the heaters right away, were responsive to all our questions and requests and went above and beyond by bringing my wife’s bag (accidentally left behind at the house) to the airport with a moments notice on a holiday (Presidents’ Day). A+ good job and I would def rent from these folks again.

It was perfect for our large family there for a wedding. Room for everyone that could enjoy some down time and time playing games with other family members. With three floors of rooms, we didn't feel cramped at all. Everything worked and we had no problem. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Family reunion

We had a great time house manager was easy to work with when things needed attention and was quick to respond with a solution. All beds were comfortable nice lay out for 18 people to not feel crowded. Very nice view of the valley from deck.

Family reunion

We had about 20 people stay here from ages 1–66. Plenty of space and rooms are tucked away so that no babies were woken up from noise. Beautiful views, nice pool table, and overall great for our needs.

Great ski trip for group of 10.

This was a great house for our group of 10 guys on a 4-day ski trip. Lots of space to spread out or visit together and great views from the deck. Communication with the property manager was great.

Great Stay in the Hills of Draper

My family and I (party of 9) enjoyed a fun annual family reunion at this property. We skied at resorts in both canyons and appreciated the proximity of the home to the skiing (30 to 45 minutes on clear roads) and to the services in Draper. The house was very clean upon our arrival and the reservation and check-in process was excellent. Great communication!The kitchen is well-appointed with most everything one needs for making meals. There are 3.5 bathrooms total, including the one in the master bedroom. I'm not sure that this set-up would be comfortable for a party much larger than ours, but it worked for us. The media room is fun, as is the game room with the pool table. Generally speaking, the house is in OK shape considering it's a vacation property for large parties. FYI: We had to supply additional paper towels, trash bags and dish soap. There was no recycling can which was disappointing and the rail on the upper deck is not entirely stable. As described, the hot tub is in the garage. It would be nicer outside (the house has a great view), but it was hot and clean. Fun times were had.
