Welcome to the Stralsundia Holiday Home!
The Stralsundia Holiday Home offers you a chance to relax and enjoy a stay full of experiences and new discoveries. You can experience the World Heritage city of Stralsund with its culture, culinary delights, and sports and leisure activities, as well as explore the nearby German islands (Rügen, Dars, Hiddensee, Usedom, Dänholm) with their beautiful long sandy beaches.
Energy costs:
We rent out the holiday home privately. For this reason, we must also keep an eye on costs. While we try to include all costs in the listed price for our guests so that no additional charges are incurred later, this calculation is based on average usage.
Heating:
Since the heating system heats both the holiday home and our residence, it is set to our specifications and heats the holiday home to 20 °C when outdoor temperatures are below 16 °C from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., it heats to 20 °C, and to approximately 12 °C during the remaining hours. These are flow temperatures; the room temperature is generally higher. Adjustments can be made by arrangement. Each additional hour currently costs 2 euros. Each 1 °C increase costs 0.10 euros per hour.
Good ventilation is necessary year-round to ensure a comfortable indoor climate. To this end, windows should be fully opened for 5–10 minutes every day. In particular, this ventilation should also take place during the cold season. (Set the heater to 0 while doing so.) Afterwards, the window can remain closed for the rest of the day, and the heater can be set to 3. Fresh air is necessary so that the heater can warm it up. If we notice that the heaters are turned up while the windows remain open, we reserve the right to charge additional fees.
Electricity:
The standard rate includes 5 kWh per day. This corresponds to normal usage, including a dishwasher or washing machine. Each additional kilowatt-hour—e.g., for charging a vehicle—currently costs 0.55 euros.
In the event of significant cost increases, we reserve the right to adjust the prices for heating and electricity at short notice.
Stralsundia Holiday Home:
You can access the courtyard and the holiday home through a separate entrance off the car park. There you’ll also find two patios with patio furniture and a grill. You’ll have one patio to yourself, and you can share the other one with us. The courtyard also features a trampoline (305 cm) with a safety net, a slide for small children, and a box of toys. You can also rent bicycles (in almost all sizes) at a reasonable price.
We’re always available to assist you personally, as our home is located on the same property.
You’ll be staying in a detached house (approx. 55 m²), which we’ve freshly renovated and lovingly furnished for you (completed in July 2020). A comfortable box-spring bed (sleeping height 59 cm) ensures a restful night’s sleep, as does panoramic wallpaper featuring a sunset over the Baltic Sea. You’ll find plenty of space in the closet for the clothes you’ve brought with you.
In the living room with an open kitchen, you can't only prepare and enjoy your favourite meals, but also play games together, watch TV, read, or simply relax. A comfortable sofa with plenty of pillows and blankets, along with a cosy rug and the right lighting, creates a cosy atmosphere.
The spacious bathroom also contributes to your relaxation. Unwind in the bathtub with a soothing soak and recharge your energy.
Throughout the house, you’ll find plenty of storage space for your personal belongings and groceries.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
