This house was my primary home for 7 years until I bought a fixer cabin on an island where I now live full-time. I come back to the city often and I still consider Tacoma my home.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood of North Tacoma on the border of Ruston is one of the safest areas in the city. It has a residential feel with people out walking dogs and riding bikes and kids playing in any weather. Ruston has a cute downtown to visit on your way to Point Defiance and Owen Beach (a 3-minute drive), and you can walk down Baltimore hill to Point Ruston's shops, restaurants, and farmer's market while taking in a panoramic view of the Puget Sound and both the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. When you want a more urban vibe, downtown is only 15 minutes away.

This is the perfect spot for guests who appreciate vintage details like original hardwoods blended with modern amenities and a tranquil retreat sheltered by mature trees, bamboo swaying in the wind, and a wraparound cedar fence.
