The cabin is beautiful. Very spacious. Lots of room for big families. We very much enjoyed spending the week with all our kids and grandkids in this cabin!
We all loved Miller Family Lodge. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of bathrooms and an abundance of dishes, glasses, silverware, pans and seating. After having stayed at so many private homes that have just enough of everything, it was wonderful to have plenty of amenities. Gene was wonderful to work with and we wouldn't hesitate to rent here again. Beautiful.
Great place for a huge gathering. Would be nice to have access down into the river on the property. Had to drive or walk down the street. Road access is dirt road and single lane. Not too bad has section to stop and allow car to pass by. Host was responsive and helped with all the request ask.
We loved our stay in this home! We were especially impressed with all the helpful little details like night lights in bedrooms and the small things that make being in a different house easier. I was thrilled with how well stocked the kitchen was with dishes and kitchen "gadgets". It was easy for our large group to cook all our meals there.

Our family came up to ride the polar express train. We had 8 adults and 4 kids. We loved the house! It was great for everyone, grandparents, parents and kids! We’d love to come back next year!
Decided this year instead of spending money on presents for our children and grandchildren we would make memories together..oh we made memories alright..We got married in the living room after being together for 10 years.. The cabin was large enough for family to either spend time together or spend some alone time..very accommodating of a large family
Can't wait to return.!
Our family had a wonderful time and really enjoyed staying at the Miller House…..so warm and inviting!
FYI: The left kitchen bar stool, living room coffee tables, and ping pong table were pretty wobbly so tried to avoid using them much so as not to break them. Tried to leave everything the way we found it so hope we did good😄!!
What a perfect home for a family vacation! The ages ranged from 3 years old to 80 years old and we all had a blast.
The Miller Family Lodge had all of the amenities we needed, including a highchair and baby gates. We loved having both a regular coffee pot and Keurig. The magic bullet was very convenient for my morning shakes (I hate dirtying up a blender…). Plenty of Tupperware and cookware.
The home was large enough for us to be able to spread out, but the main living area was also spacious enough so that we could all be together. We really loved the game room- it was fun for everyone, especially on the rainy days. Plenty of bathrooms, no one was ever waiting for a free bathroom. This is also due to each room having a sink. You can brush your teeth, wash your hands and face in your room rather than hogging the bathroom. Each room has a wonderful view.
One thing to note is that our firsr drive up the mountain was a little scary, but by the end of the trip, we were pros. I would suggest arriving during daylight to get your bearings of the roads, potholes, etc. The Miller Lodge has plenty of parking.
We had such a wonderful family vacation at The Miller Family lodge. We were able to meet a few of the Millers and they were lovely and helpful- it made us enjoy and appreciate their home even more. We would definitely rent this home again!
We needed a house larger enough for 10 people that was also wheelchair accessible. This home was perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub, game room and all of the well thought out amenities. The road to the home is a one-lane mountain pass. At first, we were nervous but after the second day of our seven day stay we were navigating it like a local. We had mistakenly locked ourselves out at one point. A text to the host and a very prompt reply fixed the issue within minutes.
Had a wonderful time here with our extended family! Plenty of space for our group of 16 and close to lots of activities. Hoping to come back next year!
Twenty years ago we came with our 5 kids to this area from Louisiana. It was their favorite vacation so they wanted to come back with their kids. So 10 adults and 9 grands found the Miller family lodge. It was everything all the prior reviews declared. It was perfect for our family and close to horseback riding, fly fishing, Biltmore, Dollywood, white water rafting and the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad. The kids loved the bunk room and there were plenty of areas to congregate or find peace and quiet. Game room was great. Close walk to river where kids could also swim and fish. Road to and from was narrow but got more comfortable with each trip out and in. Kitchen was stocked better than any place we have ever stayed. It had anything you could need. Finally, Gene was terrific host and responded quickly to answer any questions. Highly recommend.
The Miller Family Lodge is beautiful! The home was clean and WELL stocked with all the basics. Our large, multi-generational group was comfortable and had plenty of space to be together - or apart! I think my husband's grandmother will tell everyone who will listen about how beautiful it was and how wonderful it was to have our family together for the foreseeable future. Whether you're planning to ride the GSMR or visit the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, this home is perfect.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The road is very narrow and windy leading to the cabin, but the parking was easy. Everything was as advertised about the property. It was spacious and cozy. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the area.
Beautiful well kept property. we did have a few issues and reported them to the owner, but they couldn't be fixed during our four day Christmas stay which is to be understood. Nice property with very high end amenities and lots of games and things to keep everyone busy!

Family Christmas trip
First let me say the cabin is very nice! The road to get to the cabin not so much but I guess that’s what you get with mountain cabins. Very narrow. Only room for one car to pass through. The bathrooms are a little odd to me. There’s 2 full bathrooms on the main floor and only 1 bedroom. There is 1 full bathroom and a half on the second floor with 4 bedrooms. Then in the ground floor you have another full bath and a half with 1 bedroom. We also had one of the ceiling fans in one of the upstairs bedrooms malfunction and we could not get the light or the fan to turn off. When I contacted the property manager I was told he could not get a maintenance person out there cause it was Sunday. It was difficult for my family to sleep in that room with the light on cause we couldn’t figure out how to even get the globe off to remove the light bulb cause it had a metal cage around the globe.
We made the best of it and still had a great time! We went specifically to ride the Polar Express so the cabin was located approximately between Bryson City and Cherokee.
Our family went to the Polar Express train ride it was conveniently located between that and the casino. We had plenty of room in such a beautiful home.
