Newly built house right near the beach (300 m). Ideal for families or groups travelling together. Located about 800 m outside the main town, you’ll find peace and relaxation here. The house was completed in May 2009 and is state-of-the-art in terms of insulation, plumbing, and electrical systems. The bedrooms feature ample closet space (including hangers), an ironing board and iron, bed linens, blankets, 2 bathrooms with shower stalls, a hair dryer, mirrors, hand and bath towels, and a kitchen with dishes, cutlery, glasses, pots, and pans. The living room features a flat-screen TV, satellite TV with all European channels (except encrypted ones), a stereo system, and much more—so you don’t need to bring anything from home except beach towels. Every morning, the baker comes to the house and brings fresh bread; every other day, the produce vendor stops by. Of course, you—as well as the guests staying at the Aspri Villa holiday rentals—can participate in all the activities or simply relax and do nothing

Our house is in a quiet location, about 300 metres from the sandy beach, which is never overcrowded. The town centre, on the Acheron River, is just a few minutes’ walk away. Here you’ll find taverns serving Greek and international cuisine, as well as supermarkets.
For guests arriving by car, there are many more beaches nearby to discover.
For guests arriving by plane, we can provide one of our cars.
Very popular with our guests are the group barbecue evenings—sometimes featuring live music—as well as our extensive range of excursion and leisure activities, both on land and on water. We take our minibus to historical sites. We also offer various boat tours to the islands, as well as diving, snorkelling, and water skiing for those who are able or would like to give it a try. All this and much more in a pleasant, family-friendly atmosphere

How to get here: Fly to Corfu, then take the ferry (approx. 60 min) to Igoumenitsa, where we’ll meet you at the port; or fly to Preveza, where we’ll welcome you directly at the airport. We also offer a pickup service to and from Thessaloniki, as well as a car hire service. In late fall or early summer, flights to Corfu or Preveza are rarely available, but you can find fairly inexpensive flights to Thessaloniki, so it’s often even cheaper to travel from there by hire car. Of course, we’ll also pick you up in Thessaloniki at cost. Travel time from Thessaloniki by car is 2 hours and 50 minutes. Alternatively, you can drive to Venice, Ancona, or Bari, then take the ferry to Igoumenitsa. From there, it’s only 50 km to Ammoudia.
Upon request, we can also organise your arrival and departure from here (taxi, flight, train, ferry, and even hire car).

Sports and Hiking: Hiking in Greece
In the spring and fall, we organise hikes in the lowlands as well as in the nearby mountains, possibly including an overnight stay in a mountain hut. The monasteries of Meteora, the Vikos Gorge, and the valley and springs of Gliki are among the destinations on our excursion itinerary.

Boat tours in Greece:
Starting in mid-April, we’ll take you to the Ambracian Gulf, where encounters with dolphins are guaranteed.
You can also visit Paxos and Lefkada, as well as beautiful coastal towns, with us.

Sailing in Greece:
A 12-meter Reinke sailboat, with or without a skipper, can be chartered through us.
Skipper training, water skiing. A dinghy is available for beginners.

Diving in Greece:
Diving equipment, compressor, and boat available. Wreck diving is also offered.
Guided diving excursions

Cycling in Greece:
Guided bike tours—whether flat, mountainous, or extreme—through unspoiled nature with hardly any car traffic.
Tool and repair shed available. Group trips are welcome

Beach and River: Ammoudia is a small fishing village located at the mouth of the Acheron River. Small taverns line the riverbank, where you can enjoy Greek and international cuisine. The fine sandy beach is perfect for swimming; thanks to the river’s backwater effect, the sea here is crystal-clear and barely salty—a delight not just for the kids.
