About this property
Beautiful Lakefront Home- Sleeps 20
ABOUT OUR PROPERTY:
Our house sits on 6 wooded acres, and from it’s hillside perch, enjoys broad views overlooking Bristol Lake. The property is at the end of a quiet, dead-end drive. It has frontage on Stamm Lake (a 4½ acre spring-fed pond), and from Stamm, the property line follows a stream which flows year-round down to Bristol Lake, on which the property has 125 feet of frontage. Bristol is a 165-acre all-sports lake and is excellent for fishing, swimming and all manner of watersports. We have a sandy beach which drops-off gradually until it reaches a depth of around 3 feet (appx. 20’ from shore). From there the depth falls-off more quickly, eventually reaching a depth of 45 feet at closer to 100 yards from shore. As such, the beach and lakeshore are relatively-friendly to younger children (although we recommend life jackets for non-swimmers). We have a raft which is anchored in deeper water (very safe for diving), we also have a dock to park a boat or to get young anglers closer to the many bass & bluegill which hover at the drop-off. Between the house & the shore we have a large grassy yard with enough trees to give some comfortable shade in the sunny summer afternoons. We have a fire pit on the beach. The yard is large enough for whiffle-ball, volleyball, croquet or practically any variety of other yard games. The 6 acres of woods have a series of short trails which are fun for a short afternoon stroll.
ABOUT THE HOUSE:
The house is recently-constructed (completed in 2015), built with premium materials and systems. At appx. 4,300sf, it has 8 bedrooms, 3½ baths and enough beds to sleep 20 (see plans in photo section). Our kitchen has large areas granite countertop, allowing many participants in food preparation. We have both a large and a small refrigerator, a double-oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, ample cabinets and a walk-in pantry. We have a large dining table as well as folding picnic tables and an umbrella table on the deck (which overlook the lake). There are areas to sit & talk on every level. The lower level has a rec room equipped with both a ping-pong and a pool table. This room opens thru 2 sliding doors onto a patio (which also overlooks the lake). A TV room on the upper level is great for kids watching late-night movies.
ABOUT THE BRISTOL LAKE COMMUNITY:
Bristol Lake offers a wonderful mix of active recreation and quiet relaxation. Many of the property-owners on the lake live here year-round. It is our desire to offer this vacation rental to families which will appreciate the serenity of this community and be respectful of our neighbors. Keeping noise levels low (especially after dark), maintaining slow speeds on the entry drive, and keeping the grounds in good order are all elements of making a visit satisfying to all involved. If you choose to book with us, we ask that you make a commitment to be a good neighbor.

About the host
Hosted by Sue Micham

Bristol Lake vacation home is owned by 2 families: Ray and Sue Micham, and Dan and Janel Garno. Sue and Dan are sister and brother, in a family of 15 children. Our family has, for many years, rented a vacation property to get everyone together, once a year, for a reunion celebration. At a point, we decided it was time to start our journey of finding the right property and developing it into our families' 'own' place to gather. We stumbled upon this 6 acre parcel of dense trees and brush, of which we could not even see through to the lake. We wandered around until we saw glimpses of the beautiful, quiet lake peeking through. We were sold! Once we had purchased, we formulated a long-term plan, which included a series of property improvements, and eventually we built our home. It has been a long process of getting to where we are now, and starting in 2015, we decided to finish things up and start renting out for other families to enjoy as well. Ray and Sue have raised their 6 kids in Northwestern Ohio. Dan and Janel have raised their 6 kids in Southern Michigan. Our families stay very active, and have enjoyed fishing, catching turtles, frogs, and snakes, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, and water sports during the warm months at Bristol Lake, and ice skating, sledding and ski trips during the cold months. We also enjoy taking a 1 hour and 15 minute drive over to the charming town of Saugatuck, on the coast of Lake Michigan. It is our hope that your family will also make lots of good memories and experience the relaxation, peace, and fellowship that we have found, gathered at Bristol Lake.
Why they chose this property
We love the peaceful, quietness of Bristol Lake. Even on major Summer holidays, there is not too much activity to enjoy time outside and on the lake!
What makes this property unique
We wanted to offer our home to others, in the condition and with the amenities that we would want to find when we rent a home. We hope that you find that to be true for your family’s experience at Bristol Lake!
