Königsgut Emmericher Eyland Vacation Apartments (Apartment 1)

Find peace and relaxation in the rural Emmericher Eyland district of Kalkar!

Not far from the Rhine, in the heart of a scenic conservation area, our farm stands in a secluded location—historically known as “Königsgut.”
With a great deal of passion and personal dedication, we began last year to breathe new life into a former barn by converting it into three holiday apartments.

The first apartment—which is available for rent here—has already been awarded 4 stars by the German Tourism Association and features a spacious, open layout of approximately 100 m². It accommodates up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms—in a classic setting, with high-quality bathroom amenities including a rain shower and bathtub. Air conditioning in the master bedroom—which can also cool the rest of the apartment if needed—is also available. In winter, you’ll enjoy the comfort of underfloor heating—all powered by environmentally friendly geothermal energy and solar panels.
The second bedroom is slightly smaller than the master bedroom but features its own separate toilet, allowing for a bit more flexibility in bathroom use when the apartment is fully occupied.

A private, furnished 25 m² terrace right in front of the apartment is available to guests—with a fantastic panoramic view, it promises pure peace and relaxation!

The farm is located right next to the towns of Bedburg-Hau and Emmerich am Rhein. The cities of Kleve and Kalkar (city centre) are about 12 km away—and you can cross the Dutch border after just about 10 km (S’Heerenberg). The larger cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen are also not far away, just 38 km away. In the mood for a day trip to the sea? That’s possible too—after just a 2-hour drive, you’ll be in Noordwijk, or in Amsterdam after 1.5 hours.

There’s also plenty to see locally: the historic old town of Kalkar, the “City of Swans” Kleve, the Wissel Dunes with a beautiful swimming beach on Lake Wissel, Moyland Castle, and much more! The region is ideal for long bike rides—with excellent signage and well-maintained trails.
