In this detached country house, the authenticity of country life meets modern comfort. Built in 1902, the house has been completely renovated and equipped with many modern amenities. With just under 100 m², it can accommodate up to 5 guests. It features a double bed in the master bedroom, another double bed in the guest room, and an optional comfortable air mattress in the office.
Nestled on a cul-de-sac among meadows, fields, and woods, it invites you to relax. The highlight of the house is the Bullerjan wood-burning stove, which provides cosy warmth even on the coldest winter days. An ample supply of firewood is provided. The plank flooring on the upper level essentially acts as underfloor heating, complete with the sounds typical of an older home.
Thanks to its solid construction, the house stays warm in winter and pleasantly cool in summer.
Of course, there are also radiators in every room that can be heated using a modern gas boiler in the attic.

On Wednesdays, the bakery van stops by around 11 a.m. It announces its arrival with a loud honk and pulls up at the neighbor’s house. I recommend the farmhouse bread and the sweet rolls—especially the quark-and-raisin ones.

You’ll find shopping options about 5 km away. Edeka, Rewe, DM, Netto, and, of course, many small speciality shops can be found in Mömbris. For popular large-scale discount stores, you’ll need to travel about 10 km to Alzenau.

Popular attractions such as the Ludwigsturm and regional hiking trails are within walking distance. You’ll find a Kahlgrund travel guide and a hiking map in the living room upon arrival. For swimming, I recommend the Bärensee in Erlensee, one of the few lakes where dogs are allowed.
