Beautiful Cabin in the Sierra's sits along the creek. Pet Friendly

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. House sits on Markleeville Creek where the fish are abundant and the aspens whisper in the wind. Close to town and rooms have been newly renovated as well as flooring and kitchen. The famous Cutthroat is now open and serving great food and can handle large groups. Markleeville Store is a great place to pick up what you may have forgotten and the Stonefly draws crowds from afar. Plenty of parking. The perfect place to get away.

The space
House is 3 full bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Has a wrap around porch for those wonderful evenings of enjoying the sound of the water. Large yard complete with horseshoe pit for a great family and friend fun. House has beds for 6 and a queen air mattress for 2 additional guests. Home is located close to Grover Hot Springs State Park, 25 miles from So. Lake Tahoe, 18 miles from Genoa Nevada. Pleanty of space for hiking, fishing, exploring or gambling in Gardnerville/Minden Nevada.

Very close to town and the hot springs, making it a convenient location for exploring the area. The house was a good size for our group, and the host was very responsive and helpful.Some of the kitchen items are a bit dated, but it had the essentials we needed, including pots, pans, a strainer, and other basic cooking supplies. Overall, it was a comfortable place to stay and worked well for our weekend plans.

Peaceful sitting on deck listening to the creek. Unfortunately the backyard wasn't available due to flooding, which we didn't find out about until day before arrival, so granddaughters didn't have the play area we were counting on. House is older but has everything you'd need.

Beds were very comfortable. Warm old Family Cabin feeling in lovely mountain environment. We enjoyed ourselves.The hosts should consider a few upgrades. For example, several lights were not working. The knives and scissors would not cut. We resented having to pay 90 insurance for potential damage. And lastly, it’s advertised as dog-friendly and yet we had to pay for our pooch to accompany us.Thanks.

Simple , clean and ample room in this house. We stayed for 3 nights...if you like softer beds this is for you. Wonderful birdlife behind the house on the Carson River. Unfortunately the whole backyard is flooded so we did not have access. 1mile from the small town of Markleeville, Cutthroat Tavern fun place for music & friendly western bar ambiance . Hiking in the area, Grover Hot Springs nearby, market , gas, library...all good things!
