About this property

Vintage Cottage with Private Hot Tub, Fireplace & Deck - Walk to the Lake, Dogs OK

Summary:

Pine Cone Cottage

The Space:

Step back in time at this charming vintage cottage which combines a bit of nostalgia (think old-fashioned linoleum floors and narrow, curtained doorways) with modern amenities that include a large deck and a newer (2017) six-person hot tub.

Pine Cone Cottage is a perfect spot for your family vacation. Here at the south end of Wallowa Lake, you'll be within walking distance of the lake and a wealth of activities, including mini-golf, restaurants, the Wallowa Lake Tramway, and horseback riding.

The living room has a wood-burning fireplace with vintage vinyl that will remind you of Grandma's house. The kitchen is off the six-person dining area with an outside exit leading to the gas grill. Extra amenities include a large collection of DVDs and videos, indoor and outdoor games, and extra towels for the hot tub.

At night, please note that the bedrooms do not have doors; they have pull-across curtains instead.

The place was great good location but it was advertised w a hot tub that never worked , we were told the day of that repair man may be working on it which we never seen anyone and it was advertised with a bbq grill so we brought food for that and it did not have a propane tank and I asked about it twice days in and never heard anything back only that a property team was working on it and when we arrived there was garbage all over the driveway garbages were never taken away and not good in bear country also with no cell service in that area made it very difficult to find had to drive all the way back for cell service to the nearest town to figure things out .

When we arrived, we first saw the hot tub cover off. The hot tub was turned on and water too low so it was sucking air and some jets squirting water. It was dirty inside and the filter was missing. We stayed long enough to call Avari (local property management). They appear to be based outside of the country. They said the local team would be notified but couldn’t say when they’d respond. It was nearly 5pm. The cabin itself is outdated with very worn and sinking couches. White dog fur and debris on the couch. We didn’t stay. Went into town. Secured confirmation we’d get a refund. We obtained another home which was also managed by Avari. That home hadn’t been cleaned. Beds still unmade. Towels on the floor. I invite the property owner to contact me on my experience with the management company. And Avari refused to refund the cleaning charge for the cabin we s pent no more than 10-15 minutes at- only to secure WiFi to make the necessary phone call for service.
