Property:
This traditional Frisian house with a thatched roof, typical of the island, was built in 1867. The main part of the house still stands today. Starting in 1996, a modern addition was built behind the house. This created a total of seven holiday apartments under thatched roofs.
The family-friendly furnishings delight mums, while the large playground with a swing and play equipment delights the little ones. And the barbecue area, complete with a large swivel grill and a pavilion, awaits Dad.
Sheltered from the wind behind the house, you’ll find a large terrace with patio furniture, lounge chairs, and beach chairs (April–October). In the huge garden, there are several additional seating areas, beach chairs, a daybed, a property-wide scavenger hunt, and the “Sundowner Lounge” with a beautiful view across the fields towards the sunset. There are also various games and activities for children and adults: a giant trampoline, a barbecue area, the throwing and skill game “Corn Hole,” a swing, a sandpit, and Amrum’s first outdoor Scrabble!
Another attraction in the garden is the “Hasenbaudraufschaubau”: a spacious, covered seating area with a hanging swing, electrical socket, and a working stove.
In the hallway leading to the “Goodshenk,” “Eerdglüper,” and “Driiwfholt” apartments, a library and game room are available to all guests, young and old. You can borrow books, audiobooks, DVDs, puzzles, and board games for the whole family here free of charge.
In the building’s basement, there is a wide variety of children’s toys: a Brio train set, a car play mat, sand toys, building blocks, and wooden outdoor toys—all available to all guests. You’ll also find a coin-operated washing machine, a coin-operated dryer, an ironing board, and an iron for shared use.
Pets are welcome at the Friesenhaus Sanskiin.
One parking space is available for each apartment.
