I would like to briefly introduce our village and its surroundings to you.
Wienrode is located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains, nestled in a flat valley surrounded by forests and meadows.
As a district of the town of Blankenburg, we are centrally located between the towns of Wernigerode,
Quedlinburg, Halberstadt, Thale, and Hasselfelde.

Here you can experience history and find peace in nature. There’s plenty of action to be had here, too.
There’s something for everyone!

-Blankenburg: Michaelstein Monastery and the Regenstein Castle Ruins
-Wernigerode: Castle and Old Town
-Quedlinburg: World Heritage City
-Halberstadt -Cathedral and Cathedral Treasury
-Hasselfelde—Germany’s largest Western-themed town
-Rappbode Dam—Harz Adrenaline (suspension bridge, zipline) for the truly daring
-Thale, known for the adjacent Bode Valley, the Hexentanzplatz, and the Roßtrappe
