The host and property manager were very responsive. The location, views and house were astounding. The environment is unspoiled and the Dominicans are so welcoming and friendly. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone about this untouched environment! Wow!

Lovely Calibishie House

We had a lovely, comfortable and relaxing five nights at Villa Vista in Calibishie. It’s a beautiful place with a great view. Lots of relaxing outdoor/indoor space and a hot tub. We really enjoyed staying there.

This house was a little slice of heaven in an unspoiled country with the friendliest people you will ever meet. The house owner and host were both available, attentive, and helpful as our family of five enjoyed the village of Callibishie and the island of Dominica. The house is clean and laid out well, with amazing views, an outdoor pool, and an indoor hot tub. Chris connected us with a local who provided us with meals many days, stocked our pantry before we arrived, and gave us helpful hints for our trip. We connected with Wendy from Untouchable Tours. Keep in mind, Calibishie is in the north, near the airport, but 1.5 hours from Roseau, the capital.

Spectacular -we good have just stayed on the veranda the fill time we were here enjoying the views and the pool! The kitchen also has fantastic views out to Hodges Bay when the windows are opened. We felt so relaxed and in tune with nature!

The views were amazing and the breeze made it just fine without air conditioning. The villa was quiet and perfect and no one wanted to go home. Dominica is beautiful and the people are really kind and friendly. Next time we’ll hire a local driver because the roads are not for tourists.

Lovely home with beautiful vies

Vista Villa is a beautiful, clean home with a beautiful view. We were surprised that the house had a short trail down to a very safe, secluded beach in a swimmable bay. The house had a love pool and two decks to enjoy the view and the surroundings.

This is an amazingly beautiful property on the North Coast of Dominica. The view is awe inspiring. I can't imagine anyway to make this house better. My recommendation would be for whoever reads this to look no further and book this property right away!

Best View on the Island

Property was great and exceeded our expectations. Communication was great. The view is absolutely spectacular. The property is clean and pictures are close to accurate with some minor changes to the furniture and bug netting in the bedrooms. There is a small store within walking distance. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again should we return to Dominica.

Great Location

Great location with great views Exactly as listed. Cool breeze keeps bedroom cool in the evening. Hot tub and pool are excellent. Great shower in master bedro is sooothing. Try out the Red Rock Cafe, the Chocolate Facorty and the Coral Reef Bar and Restaurant. Only negative for us is that there were no skillets or pans to cook with the house (or we could not find them).

Beautiful Location

Well maintained home with plenty of space. Sunrise and moonrises were spectacular. Decent grocery shopping in Calibishie but the best store we found was Savers Enterprise in Portsmouth. Safety & privacy were excellent. The house is sited in a way that no one can see and there is no other property "looking down" on you. Gweneth (mgr) told us the do's on dont's for safety at check in and Chris (owner) was very responsive to all inquiries.

Perfect Vacation

Our stay at the villa was absolutely wonderful. Chris went above and beyond, proving to be the best host we've ever had. He made check-in and check-out effortless, allowing us to fully enjoy our vacation without any interruptions. The villa offers breathtaking views, peaceful surroundings, and even a small black sand beach accessible via a trail right from the property. A small convenience store is just a 7-minute walk away, and the local town, only a 5-minute drive, with plenty of small ocean-view restaurants and bars. The property manager was also fantastic—very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this villa and would definitely return in the future!

Magic beautiful place

We enjoyed a week at Villa Vista. The house is situated just above the coast with a beautiful view over the ocean and surrounded by tropical vegetation. You can walk down to a lovely little beach where a beautiful river flows into the sea where you can swim in crystal clear water.Although it was a very windy week we were able to spend most of our time on the terrace. Calibishie is a lovely village with friendly people and some good restaurants, although shopping facilities are limited. There is a market on Saturdays in Portsmouth, half an hour's drive away.If you are looking for nature and tranquillity .... is the place to be.

Perfect house for the week

My family of 4 stayed here for Spring Break 2023 and loved it. This island is beautiful and the sunrise we saw every morning from our back deck was stunning. There was a constant wind throughout the house so none of the bug spray we brought was used! My 10 year old son hiked down to the bay the first morning all on his own without any issues. The closest “large” grocery is in Portsmouth about 35 min away so plan accordingly. Comfortable beds and a great place to come back to each day after exploring Dominica.
