The romantic moated castle is near Vienna and the Danube landscape of Wachau, which is famous for its vineyards, monastery, castles and small old villages and perfect sightseeing tours. The baroque castle is surrounded by a pond. Horses graze in the historic park with large old trees where you can discover romantic picnic spaces. In the historic stone garden, you will find a large swimming pool (22 x 14m) plus bath house and a tennis court. For golfers there are several options nearby. 20 people can reside in the castle (on request up to 26). The rooms are in the English country style. On the ground floor: a large hall with open fireplace, a vestibule and a sauna. On the first floor: a hall (also for yoga), a large salon, breakfast room, library with open fireplace, Chinese dining room, a large kitchen, a terrace. A maid is included in the price. Castle visit

We had a family of 19. This is a great historical site. The grounds, including pool and tennis court are in great shape. The terrace overlooking the entrance was a magical place to "hang out". Places like this are prohibitively costly to maintain, and there is some deferred maintenance and no air conditioning. Maria (housekeeper and cook) is beyond fabulous in abilities, attitude and personality. We had a great experience.

This castle was everything we hoped for and more

Our family of 20 filled up this beautiful historic castle. We had a great time and everything went perfectly. The staff who helped with meals and cared for the house were awesome and the owners were wonderful Perfect for a big family reunion!

Perfect team building for TOP management:)

We came to wasserburg for management team building - 14 people. We had amazing time, lots of ideas, lots of sport (tennis, table tennis, walking..). There is also amazing swimming pool. Aka, the cook, she was extraordinary:) I would definitely come back with my family one day and I would recommend this property for any occasion with family, or friends. It is very romantic:)

Schloss Wasserburg

Die ganze Familie (insgesammt 12 Personen) waren in Schloss Wasserburg zusammen gekommen um den 80 Geburtstag des nunmehr zweifachen Urgroßvaters zu feiern. Die Schlafzimmer waren groß und herrlich kühl, da es draussen ungewöhnliche 30 Grad hatte, umso erfrischender war das riesige 20 meter!!! Pool. Die Angestellten waren unglaulich freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Köchin zauberet täglich frisch Speisen aus der Region. Am Geburtstagsabend hatten wir ein großes Abendessen am Pavillon, das am Schlossteich gelegen ist. Leider ist die Woche viel zu schnell vergangen, wir werden uns aber ewig daran errinern, denn jede Generation hatte seinen Spass.Ich würde es sofort weiter empfehlen! Wichtig: unbedingt Auto mieten und in die Wachau fahren!! (Museum,Wandern, Essen!!)

Amazing traditional yet comfortable castel! Perfect Family vacation!

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and big with lots of traditional furniture. I have never seen such an amazing pool, it was huge and perfect for the children. The cook is excellent and we were able to have our late lunches out in parc. The vineyards of the "Wachau" wich is only 15 min. away, is an absolute must!- perfect for wine tastings in one of the local restaurants.We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back very soon.
