Spacious Thuringian Sea vacation apartment with charm and lots of light

Hello and welcome to the vacation rental by the water at the “Thuringian Sea” in the Thuringian Forest in Bad Lobenstein, which underwent extensive renovation in 2018.

The heart of the apartment is the exceptionally spacious 50-square-meter living and kitchen area, designed in a country house style. Here you’ll find plenty of natural light streaming in through the panoramic windows, a large dining table, a bar area with an oak countertop, and direct access to your own spacious terrace with a fantastic view of the lake and the tower of Bad Lobenstein.

The vacation rental also features three bedrooms.
(1) Master bedroom. Right next to the bathroom. Large
double bed (180 cm x 200 cm), view of the lake.

(2) Family bedroom. Room with a large, sturdy
bunk bed and an additional children’s bed
(wooden, 140x70cm). View of the lake.

(3) Alcove bedroom. Small room (7 sqm) with a
double bed (150mx190cm). More suitable for one person.

An additional travel crib can be set up in all rooms.

The nearest highway exit (A9) is about 20 minutes away. Exactly halfway between Erfurt and Nuremberg.

Suggestions for day trips:
The surrounding area offers something for everyone, from hiking and swimming to biking, skiing, and cultural activities.

The Ardesia Therme (with its own sauna area) is within walking distance. The Thuringian Forest is right on your doorstep. The Rennsteig trail ends/begins just 8 km away in Blankenstein, which is accessible via a direct, short train ride. The Franconian Forest, the Fichtel Mountains, and the Höllental Nature Reserve are all quickly accessible by car. Immerse yourself in the forest right on your doorstep.

In addition, the Saale River and the “Thuringian Sea” are only 5 and 10 minutes away, respectively. You’ll find yourself in the heart of the Thuringian Slate Mountains/Upper Saale Nature Reserve. Here, you can enjoy all kinds of water sports (surfing, SUP, fishing, etc.) and boat tours (steamboat rides, motorboats, pedal boats, etc.).

There is a parking area for bicycles on our property. A bike rental shop is within walking distance.

The town of Bad Lobenstein charges a visitor’s tax of €2 per person per day.
