A warm welcome to Pension Frech! Nestled between the Watzmann and the cultural hub of Salzburg, right on the market square of the idyllic mountain village of Marktschellenberg, you’ll find this small, family-run guesthouse. Each of our rooms is individually decorated—either in a traditional Alpine style or a cosy, modern style—and exudes a warm, personal atmosphere. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, some with a balcony, a bathroom with a shower and/or bathtub and a hair dryer, blinds, and a TV. Our guesthouse is an ideal starting point for a wide range of activities. While enjoying a hearty breakfast buffet, gaze through the panoramic window at the mountain you’ll want to climb later—well-fortified—the Untersberg.
The Untersbergblick holiday apartment features two separate rooms and a modern bathroom. A spacious hallway leads to the bedroom on the right, which has a balcony overlooking the greenery; straight ahead is the bathroom with a walk-in shower; and to the left is the living room with an open kitchen and kitchen island. From the seating area in the bay window, you’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Untersberg. After an eventful day, relax on the cosy couch in the living room, which—if you’re travelling as a group of three or four—can easily be converted into a sleeper sofa. A breakfast buffet is available as an optional add-on:
Put on your hiking boots and off you go—right from the house! In winter, it’s time to hit the slopes, because you won’t have to drive far. Experience the 50 kilometres of slopes across our 6 ski areas: Rossfeld Oberau, Dürrnberg, Jenner, Gutshof Obersalzberg, Götschen, and Hochschwarzeck. You’ll also find plenty to enjoy on touring skis. For beginners, the Dürrnberg or our snow-guaranteed Rossfeld are ideal; for experienced skiers, the classic “Kleine Reib’n” (Schneibstein) and the Untersberg; and for experts, the Hohe Göll. Round out your eventful day with a view of the glowing red Untersberg from our cosy lounge or—in the summer—from our outdoor benches. The ski areas of the local mountains (Rossfeld, Dürrnberg, Obersalzberg, Jenner, Götschen) are just a few minutes’ drive away or accessible by public transport. Salzburg’s ski areas are less than an hour’s drive away.
