Charming apartment in historic property

We loved this apartment's character, spaciousness and location. The only thing we would warn others about is not to rent too large of a vehicle if you choose to stay here. The midsize one we rented just barely fit through the castle's arcade.

Quirky flat in quiet area

The flat is spacious and kept cool in the heat. It is about a 20 minute walk from the edge of the old town so it is useful to find out about the buses of which there are plenty. Regensburg itself is delightful

Proprietor Peter was kind and gave us a lift downtown to his favorite local restaurant. The apartment is in an old castle, apparently there is a ghost living in apartment 5. The parking spot is 5 Euro per day, and is accessed through an extremely narrow archway (pull in your mirrors!). Our apartment was accessed by two flights of stairs, no elevator. Host provided dishes, sheets, rough towels, and umbrellas. No dish towels or soap. Bathroom window has no covering. Beautiful antique furniture throughout. Our daughter found the mattress in the first bedroom too soft, but we were comfortable in ours. Overall a memorable stay — and we never did see the ghost! Large mall nearby, within a mile.

Es war super schön und unkompliziert, Peter ist sehr nett und gibt super Tipps zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants etc. Die Wohnung war wunderschön und ruhig gelegen. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. 20-30 Minuten in die Stadt.

Großzügiges und gemütliches Wohnen im Schloß

Die Wohnung ist gemütlich- man fühlt sich wie bei Oma zu Hause einfach wohl. Die Zimmer sind wirklich großzügig und es findet jeder auch mal einen Rückzugsort für sich: im Lesesessel, im extra Zimmer oder auf dem Hof. Die Lage ist wirklich ruhig, ganz nah zur Donau und zum nächsten Einkaufszentrum. Die Stadtmitte ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt in Zentrum Nähe Regensburg

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter reibungslos. Die Wände sind sehr dick, dadurch wurde es nicht ganz so warm wie draußen (über 30 Grad). Die Wohnung liegt nicht direkt an der Donau., die dennoch schön und die Innenstadt von Regensburg ist fußläufig zu erreichen.

Schöne Wohnung in wunderbarer Lage

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit historischem Charme. Besonders die Nähe zu den Donauwiesen machen den Aufenthalt mit Hunden besonders angenehm. Sehr freundlicher und zuverlässiger Vermieter. Gerne wieder!!!

Christmas in Regensburg

Great location if you don’t mind walking a little. Grocery and other stores close by and just a 20-25 minute walk to the Cathedral. Also close to the river with great walking/running paths. Well equipped little kitchen allows you to eat in if desired. Very enjoyable stay.

A fun unique getaway

The owners live next door to the apartment we rented; they are friendly, helpful and not the least bit intrusive. The castle is interesting and the apartment is spacious. The owners will let you park in the courtyard for 5 euro per night and this is very convenient. We drove a VW Touran and fit fine; however, larger cars might find the entrance a challenge. The room we rented was comfortable for four people and had lots of extra space. The kids slept in a separate room on single beds while we had a master bedroom with a double bed. The furnishings, fixtures and decor "sind gemütlich " and eclectic but also a little dated. There is wireless internet and a tv. The kitchen is sufficiently supplied with everything one will need to fix basic meals. We stayed for two days and even though the apartment got a little warm during the day it cooled off enough during the evenings to make sleeping comfortable. The location is about a 15-20 minute walk from a large shopping center or a 30+minute walk to the downtown area. Peter the owner for 30 years has a fun setup in the basement to show the kids a "ghost" that comes out on the full moon. It was a little scary for my five year old and though my seven year old laughed she didn't want to be in the basement without me. Like I said at the start of the review the owners are friendly and this adds to the charm of this unique destination rental.

Ganz witzig.aber nicht für längere Aufenthalte zu empfehlen.

Das Schloss versteckt sich gut im Industriegebiet.ich denke das Schlossgespenst kommt deswegen nicht zur Ruhe weil ein einstmals erhabenes,geschichtsträchtiges Gebäude von seiner hässlich bebauten Umgebung gedemütigt wird.Im Inneren findet man gehobenen Jugendherbergs-Charakter,wie in einer requisitenüberladenen Junggesellenbude.Schon wieder gut.

Regensburg ist sehr zu empfehlen

Am Schloss ankommen und die quietschende Tür zu öffnen war erstmal ein gruseliges Gefühl. Genauso hatten wir es uns vorgestellt (5 Frauen). Der Rest hat uns dann nicht so überzeugt. Den Vermieter haben wir nicht zu Gesicht bekommen (Schlüssel war im Briefkasten). Die Wohnung war OK, sehr herzig und urig eingerichtet. In der Küche haben wir vergeblich die Spülmaschine gesucht. Das Gefrierfach war mit einer Schraube verschlossen. So konnten wir nicht mal unsere Kühlakkus für die Rückfahrt kühlen. Es gab, für einen fünf-Personen-Haushalt genau 2 Eierbecher. Müllbeutel haben wir auch vergeblich gesucht. Am ersten Abend wollten wir eigentlich grillen. Wir haben aber weder einen Grill, noch Liegen oder 6 Gartenstühle gefunden. Das Haus ist natürlich sehr alt, deswegen gibt es auch im Bad keinen einzigen Aufhänger für die Handtücher. Am Abreisetag war abgemacht das wir noch bis 15 Uhr gemütlich frühstücken können. Tatsächlich mussten wir das Haus dann um 12 Uhr verlassen. Also wer aber gut schlafen will, nicht weit von der Stadt wohnen will (25 min bis zum Dom) und nur zum Frühstücken in der Wohnung sein will ist hier gut aufgehoben..... und Regensburg ist auf jeden Fall eine, nein mehrere Reisen wert.
