Wake up to sweeping views of Stari Grad's harbor and the sparkling Adriatic — visible from nearly every room. A rare gem where centuries-old stone meets quiet sophistication, wrapped in a peaceful, timeless atmosphere. Step out onto the balcony above the riva, sip your morning coffee as the little harbor stirs to life… or settle in at dusk, reading as the sunset pours golden light across the sea. Some places you pick off a list. Others stay with you long after you leave.
Set inside a centuries-old stone house, this beautifully renovated 1,075 sq ft (100 m2) apartment is unlike anything you'll find on the island. Natural light, organic textures, and handpicked details come together in a cosmopolitan space that simply feels right.
This is a place where you remember what it feels like to slow down. What's included:
- Sea views from almost every room - 2 bedrooms with premium bedding - 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers - Spacious living room + library & yoga space - Fully equipped kitchen (Nespresso, dishwasher, full appliances) - ceiling fans in every room for a natural Mediterranean experience - A/C, underfloor heating & high-speed Wi-Fi - Linens, organic toiletries & beach essentials provided Prime location, steps from restaurants and the harbor
You're in the heart of Stari Grad — one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in Europe — right on the pedestrian-only waterfront. Dinner, the harbor, and ancient alleyways are all a short stroll away.
Heads up: you're in the center of town on the seafront, so evenings have that classic Mediterranean energy — music, laughter, restaurants nearby. Things wind down nicely after midnight.

About the host
Hosted by Rodolphe
We are a French and Slovenian couple who moved in Stari Grad after living for 25 years in Paris. We love to travel the world and come back to Stari Grad to ressource ourself. The island is magic for its beauty, clear water and quiet nature.
Why they chose this property
We wanted to live on a Mediterranean island. But not any island... Hvar has a unique history. It was one of the few islands chosen by Greek explorers in 400 B.C. Their choice was not random. The island has a unique landscape with coastal hills culminating at 628 meters (2061 feet) and plunging into the sea. The island is covered with pine trees, stunning wineyards and romantic olive-tree fields. The water is pristine and wonderful to swim in.
What makes this property unique
We are one of the very rare appartements in the old village. The building was built circa 1850 at the most premium location: first row on the "riva" (the local name of the waterfront promenade along the marina). You also anjoyed a blacony overlooking the sea and unique point of view on the sun set. With 1100 sq.ft, you will have a very confortable and spacious living space. Large fully-equipped kitchen, living room with extra library/yoga room. Rooms are cosy with premium mattress and linen.
