This is a unique gorgeous house in a glorious remote location next to a small creek. We rented as 2-night stopover, en-route to Oregon, and after the two days of silence, stars, and sunsets on the front porch, we found ourselves wishing we could stay longer. You rarely see night skies they way they appear here. The building is a repurposed one-room schoolhouse. The interior of the house is modern, beautifully designed, and generously provisioned for a long-term stay. Everything works very well and it is immaculately cleaned and maintained. The 1st floor bed is very comfortable. (we did not use the upstairs bedroom). If there is any factor that could be considered a down-side. It's that there is 4 and 1/2 miles of flat desert gravel road to access the house. The owner is explicit about this and gives excellent help and clear, detailed instructions for accessing the property. We drove a compact city car in and out easily with no issues other than raising a little dust. If you are looking for luxurious place to get away from it all and watch jackrabbits playing in the moonlight. Book this house.

Maureen was a fabulous guest. Left the schoolhouse immaculate and had great communication. We hope to have her back !
