We’re delighted to have you enjoy this off-grid cabin experience. Because the cabin relies on a limited, self-sustaining power system, we kindly ask that you use electricity thoughtfully during your stay. Simple habits—like turning off lights when not in use, limiting high-energy appliances, and being mindful of overall consumption—help ensure there’s plenty of power for everyone’s comfort. Your care and consideration make it possible to preserve this peaceful, low-impact retreat for all who visit. Thank you for helping us keep it running smoothly.

The main house is next door, about 200 meters away. There may or may not be guests occupying as well, but likely they will enjoy their space while letting you have your own space!

Starting September, the cabin is heated by wood stove only. All supplies for heat will be generously stocked in the cabin, and the wood stove gets very warm!

There is a main house about 200 meters away.
The hosting family is there.
They have friendly rescue dogs: 2 Siberian Huskies, a GSD and a little Belgian Malinois.
These are for your protection: they keep Mountain Lion and Bear away that’s spotted frequently so they do some rounds a few times a day.
There are young turkeys on the property (guests often feed them bread). They will go away if you ignore them.
There are chickens on property.

The family is mostly quiet, although you may see the occasional yardworking child

This is a family friendly environment, but they are great at privacy and solitude, just mention that, and you will get plenty of it!

The main house is next door, 200 meters away. There may or may not be guests occupying as well, but likely they will enjoy their space while letting you have your own space! This is why the cabin is so affordable.

This cabin is 25 minutes from town which provides the ultimate wilderness experience. It’s not for everyone, but the people who love it, adore it!
If you prefer the city, this is not your cabin.

Because the dirt road is maintained by those of us who live here, please drive slowly - between 15-20mph. This really helps us with washboarding.

NOTE: This is a pet friendly home, however there are free range chickens on property.

Additonal charges:

*Guest occupancy is 5 and after is $15 per person per night. This is because of the cost of accommodation and maintenance. Thank you for understanding!

The cabin was more incredible than expected!! Best host ever!! Tiffany provided firewood and even brought us coffee!! The cabin had everything you needed, no reason to leave. We cooked all our meals there in the full kitchen or on the grill that was on the expansive covered porch. Tiffany responded promptly to every request or questions about sites to see!!The mountains were magnificent and the stars at night were a sight to see!!

The property is a bit remote, but my not fully grasping that going in was due to my not reading the listing fully. (This was only my second experience with Vrbo, so . . . )This is a charming rustic cabin, clean and appointed with most modern conveniences, (but no furnace), so, be prepared to tend a fire in at least one of the three wood stoves.Tiffany was welcoming, cheerful, and helpful.I would definitely stay there again.

We loved this cabin! The location was central to where we wanted to visit. The property was fantastic. We visited the creek down below, used the gun range, had friendly turkey visitors. The dogs were well behaved. The cabin was lovely! Far more than we expected! The bed was plush, the kitchen had all the things we needed. The bathroom was cozy but there was plenty of hot water and the pressure in the shower was great! Our host was very accommodating, genuinely nice and responded quickly to my messages. This host and the beautiful cabin will definitely be our destination when we come back this way. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer!

This is an off-grid cabin home. Very nice! High on the mountaintop about a 4-mile dirt road but pretty well maintained. It has some little quirks but the host was able to guide us through them. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin is nice and roomy and beautiful areas outside to walk your dog or take a morning or an evening walk. Has a really nice covered porch and several fire pits. We were so busy we didn't get a chance to use them but they are there for you to use. The only negative I have to say is the lighting in the house is pretty dark once the sun goes down? It's on solar, but lights are not very bright. Bring your own personal supplies ( shampoo, soap etc..) very limited spices which is fine. Salt and pepper are great. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with pots and pans and dishes and utensils. It gets nice and cool at night, great for sleeping. Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt for the cooler nights and mornings.
