Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Upon arrival we were unable to access the front door the electronic door lock would not work due to heat couldn't even touch to lock to put in pin code. We eventually gained access thru an unlocked door. The back yard consisted of broken down cars an old motor home and a huge pile of old trashy lawnmowers a big pile of old furniture waiting to be burnt.The "sun" room pile up with old furniture, ceiling fans appear to be melted and drooping down, screendoor not locked. The inside of the home definitely aged and showing it the ac took 3 days to cool off the home, the TV in the living room had spots on the screen so no matter what channel you watched spots, kitchen drawers have beer caps all in them, broken glass underneath the appliances on the counter top. Dishes must be re-washed before use. Ice machine and refrigerator doesn't work well ended up having to throw out our Lunchmeat the second day we're there. HUGE SAFETY ALERT there is a door in the living room that has no lock nor does it latch and the worst part is there are no stairs no porch just open the door and step out and you will fall 5 feet to the ground. Imagine my fear as we have my grandchildren with us an 8mth old that just learned to walk and 2 3yr boys. After renting this home the owner messaged me saying he had forgotten to include the cleaning fee. This was not a trip of enjoyment I came to bury my son who died unexpectedly.Save yourself the time, trouble money and the embarrassment of staying here.

I’m sorry for your loss and that you were disappointed with your stay. We regularly host guests, and this is the first time we’ve received feedback like this. The home sits on almost 13 acres, and certain areas are excluded from guest use, as explained in the listing and marked with signs. Those areas don’t represent the space included in your rental. You didn’t report these concerns during your stay, so I wasn’t given the opportunity to check them or help. I take your feedback seriously and will review the concerns about the guest areas.
