Nearby activities : The most popular mudflat hike on the North Sea runs from Neßmersiel to the North Sea island of Baltrum. The mudflats are easily walkable on this route, often you can even walk barefoot. After about 2.5 hours you will already reach your destination, after a walk of more than 6 kilometers on the seabed. On Baltrum you stroll through the small island village, before you take the ferry back to Neßmersiel at high tide, passing a large seal bank.
