Escape to the quiet beauty of the Ozarks at Take It Easy Resort in Gamaliel, Arkansas — a peaceful lakeside retreat offering the flexibility to book one cottage or multiple cottages, perfect for family vacations, fishing trips, lake getaways, reunions, and group retreats.

Nestled among the trees with beautiful lake views and easy walk-to-water access, our resort features seven cozy cottages that combine comfort, privacy, and the laid-back charm of lake life. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch at sunrise or winding down after a day on the water, you’ll quickly understand why guests return year after year.

Cottages #3 and #4 are two private studio-style units joined under one roof (duplex), offering the perfect setup for couples, friends, or small families traveling together. Each unit features a fully remodeled and well-equipped kitchen, updated bathroom, and an open-concept living and sleeping area. Cottage #3 includes a comfortable queen bed, while Cottage #4 offers two XL twin beds. A twin pullout or extra mattress is also available upon request.

Both cottages feature spacious screened porches connected by a shared door, allowing guests to enjoy the space together while still maintaining privacy in separate units. Take in the panoramic, unobstructed views of the open field and the peaceful cove waters for a relaxing Norfork Lake getaway.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and return the keys
IMPORTANT: To avoid a $50 cleaning fee, please complete all check-out instructions before departure. Also, please return all items to their original location to avoid a missing item charge.
Kitchen Wash, dry and put away all kitchen items. Empty and clean microwave, refrigerator and stove. Run the self-cleaning cycle if the oven has food particles baked on.
Linens & Towels Leave bedding on beds. Put used bath towels on bathroom floor, kitchen towels on kitchen counter, outside towels on porch. Trash Take all trash to dumpster at resort entrance
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
