We're a Rhode Island family who fell in love with the mountains of Southern Vermont and built Kokopelli Kabin as a place for our own family and friends to gather, relax and reconnect. We love spending time here with our children, grandchildren and friends, some of our favorite memories have been made around the fire pit, sharing meals and simply enjoying the mountain views. We decided to open our home to guests so other families and friends could create those same kind of memories. We take great pride in the home and truly want our guests to feel comfortable, welcomed and at home from the moment they arrive.

Why they chose this property

Our daughter made Southern Vermont her home and once the grandkids came along, we found ourselves wanting to be here as much as possible. We fell in the love with the mountains, the slower pace and beauty of the area, and eventually decided to create a home here where our whole family could gather. We love that Pownal feels peaceful and tucked away while still being close to Bennington and Williamstown, with great restaurants, museums, hiking and plenty to explore. Most of all, this area simply feels like home now.

What makes this property unique

Kokopelli Kabin is truly labor of love--our family but tis home with our owns hands, creating place designed for gathering and making memories. Perched at the edge of the mountain, the home sits above portions of the tree line, creating an immersive feeling of being surrounded by the mountains and the sky. Soaring windows bring those views into the great room, while the expensive deck makes you feel as though you're sitting among the treetops.

Inside, two private guest suites with spa-inspired baths offer peaceful retreats, while the bunk room and adjoining game room make the home especially comfortable for families and friends. It's a home we are proud of and we love sharing the experience of this special place with our guests.
