Zillertal ski and hiking hut

gruppenchalets.com ’s Zillertal Ski and Hiking Lodge is a small mountain farm on the outskirts of the quiet village of Ginzling in the Zemmgrund region of the upper Zillertal—just 9 km from Mayrhofen. The farm is at least 250 years old.

The original Zillertal farmhouse has been lovingly renovated into a self-catering holiday home and offers 4 to 11 guests (+2 extra beds for children) a great starting point for hikes, mountain tours, and ski holidays. The rustic kitchen, with its old wood-burning stove and cosy corner bench, is the perfect spot to round off a pleasant evening with good company. In the living room, you can enjoy the crackling sound of the wood-burning stove. Upstairs, there are 6 bedrooms, ideally arranged with one single-bed room, 2 twin-bed rooms, and 3 double-bed rooms. The spacious bathroom, featuring two showers and two separate sinks, allows guests to share it comfortably without crowding. For winter holidays, a dedicated drying room and ski storage are available. The Finnish sauna or hot tub can be booked directly on-site.
Around the farmhouse, you’ll find plenty of space for a barbecue or a meal together featuring regional products from local farmers.

Your host is an avid mountaineer and a state-certified mountain and ski guide. If you’re interested in freeriding, ski touring, avalanche courses, ice climbing, rock climbing, a climbing gym, or bouldering, feel free to enquire directly after making your reservation. For those who haven’t had their fill of the mountains during the day, the owner has set up a dedicated bouldering wall for guests in the hayloft.
