We’ve loved and lived in this home for over 7 years. It was our original “dream home” that we wanted to raise our kids in.
But the country life kept calling us… especially me… so we decided to turn it into a place that other families and friends can enjoy.
This will seriously be one of your new favorite places to stay. Especially if you love visiting Cave Run Lake - the Muskie capital of the world, are attending a Morehead State University event, want to play an 18 round at Eagle Trace Golf Course , or hunt on some of the best lands around at the Daniel Boone National Forest!
It’s within walking distance of things like Cracker Barrel, Starbucks, Don Senor, grocery stores, gas stations, and is right off the interstate… but yet, feels private and secluded because of the forestry.
The rooms are huge! The movie theater has 4k streaming in that bad boy. And the pool…
The pool is heated.
It will get up to 104 degrees in the winter. It’s the biggest “hot tub” I’ve ever been in lol.
The pool house is cool, too. Inside is a full bathroom with a shower, a tv, a sink, fridge, pizza oven, and a table made out of the old Rupp Arena flooring.
Man, the nights we used to have in there playing cards with a whole group of people. So fun!
And the back porch is where I would play the guitar and we’d make s’mores with the kids. My husband and I also had many nights out here together, staying up late to brainstorm new business strategies and plan our future goals.
I’d wake up and drink my coffee out on the front porch while listening to the wind-chimes.
Most of our best moments so far happened in this place.
So when we thought about what name we were gonna choose for the listing, I really struggled there for a while. Until it appeared from what we were already calling it.
While we’ve spent the last 4 weeks working ourselves to death to get this massive property ready, we would often pick up the kids from school and they’d ask, “where are we going today? The farm or the big house?”
And so, it just stuck.
We hope you enjoy the place that we, for many years, have called home.
