The “Glass Kingdom” consists of a concentration of glass factories producing various types of glass. An outlet centre can be found in Kosta; on the way there, “Grönåsens Älgpark” invites you to enjoy a short moose safari. The sunny island of Öland, with its diverse landscapes, the royal summer residence, a historic village, and Eketorp Castle, is easily accessible. Family-friendly beaches can also be found on Öland. A visit to the city of Kalmar, with its historic castle and old town, is a worthwhile excursion.
