Schöne Wohnung, aber nichts für Ruhesuchende
An der Wohnung gibt es nichts auszusetzen, alles ist sehr sauber. Wir haben ein paar Kleinigkeiten beim örtlichen EDEKA-Markt nachgekauft (Nudelsieb, Untersetzer für Topf, Messbecher), ansonsten ist aber alles da.
Hilzingen ist ein guter Startpunkt für Touren, Ausflüge in die Schweiz (Stein am Rhein, Rheinfall bei Schaffhausen) und die weitere Umgebung sind mit Auto oder Fahrrad gut möglich. Auf dem naheliegenden öffentlichen Parkplatz finden sich jederzeit genug Parkmöglichkeiten.
Im Ort gibt es alles wichtige, großer EDEKA-Supermarkt, Getränkemarkt, Bäckerei, Apotheke, alles in einem Radius von 500 Metern erreichbar.
Leider ist Hilzingen kein kleines ruhiges Dörfchen. In unmittelbarer Nähe liegen der besagte EDEKA-Markt, eine Sporthalle, das Freibad, eine Filzfabrik. Ferner liegt Hilzingen in der Nähe der stark befahrenen B314 und alle Autos aus der Umgebung müssen auf Ihrem Weg dorthin durch Hilzingen fahren. Scheinbar haben auch viele dieser Fahrer richtig Spaß daran, morgens um 6 Uhr mit aufheulendem Motor durch den Ort zu rasen. Vor dem Haus parken eine Harley-Davidson und ein VW-Käfer, die einen bei geöffnetem Fenster früh morgens aus dem Bett werfen - ringsherum wohnen normale Leute, die halt morgens zur Arbeit fahren. All diese Punkte sorgen für eine Geräuschkulisse, die zumindest uns sehr gestört hat.
Die Wohnung ist also zu empfehlen - aber nur für Urlauber, die nicht geräuschempfindlich sind.
